Royal Hotel Kawaguchiko recensioner

The best 2-star hotel in my travel experience. Hotel location is a bit far from the train station which take around 15 mins walk when carrying a luggage, bus and taxi are other options. Hotel seems didn't provide shuttle service. We book a Japanese-Style Room with tatami bed with Mt Fuji view that was awesome. Room is big and clean. Hotel breakfast is worth to try too, it's a traditional Japanese breakfast and only allow you to choose either 7am or 8am time for breakfast. We stayed for 2 nights and they prepare another set of breakfast for us on the 2nd day. There is a small park right opposite to the Hotel called "Oike Park" where you can enjoy Mt Fuji too.

While the property may be a bit older, it is very clean and well-maintained, which made our stay very comfortable. The location is fantastic. Here is a photo of our room view.

Stayed here for 1 night. The room is clean and cosy. Futon were very comfortable and warm (It was 1 degree Celsius that night and we don't feel cold at all). But there's a heater option on the air conditioner. Onsen was nice but make sure you follow their rules. You can bring the towel from your room to the onsen, but if you want a new fresh tower it's 500yen (if i rmb correctly). Breakfast is Japanese style, very hearty. But if you're not a rice person then i suggest to skip. There are 2 timing to choose, 7am or 8am. You have to book the shuttle van in advance. I booked it during check in for the next day to Kawaguchiko Station. But don't worry if you're unable to book the shuttle van, there's a bus stop just opposite the hotel. Overall a pleasant stay. The weather wasn't good tho (heavy raining and it was between 1-5 degrees) so we were just chilling in the room the whole time.

The size of the room was very big and nice. We could see the mt fuji from our room. The room had very nice view if mount Fuji. There is free onsen, but the yukata is paid service of 400yen. It was really nice room and we enjoyed futon bed as well.

Got shuttle pick up and drop off to KAWAGUCHIKO station. Beautiful view in Lake Kawaguchiko. Breakfast and Dinner are exquisite as well. Nice stay

I recently stayed at the Royal Hotel Kawaguchiko and had a pleasant experience overall. The location is excellent—it’s conveniently close to Lake Kawaguchi and offers easy access to local attractions and transportation. The highlight, however, was the stunning view of Mount Fuji from my room. Waking up to that iconic view was absolutely breathtaking and made my stay unforgettable. The room itself was quite old but well-maintained. While the decor felt a bit dated, everything was clean, functional, and comfortable. The space was adequate, and the upkeep showed that the hotel takes pride in maintaining its facilities. I opted for the half-board meal plan, and the food was decent. The dinner and breakfast offerings were varied, with Japanese options. While not gourmet, the meals were satisfying and provided good value for the price. The public onsen was another highlight of my stay. It was clean, relaxing, and offered a peaceful way to unwind after a day of exploring. The soothing hot springs with a view of the surrounding nature added to the overall experience. Overall, the Royal Hotel Kawaguchiko is a solid choice for those looking for a comfortable stay with a fantastic view of Mount Fuji, decent meals, and a relaxing onsen experience. While the rooms could use a modern update, the cleanliness and maintenance make up for it. I would definitely consider staying here again!

The inhouse Onsen was an amazing feat. It is open until 1am every day.

Location: Minutes away from Gem museum if you are taking the red line bus. It's located right beside the kawaguchi lake. Room: Very very big room enough to lay 5 futon if require. Furniture looks dated but functional and the room is kept very clean and tidy. Needs a physical key to access the room though. Has view of Kawaguchi lake and Mount Fuji by the window. That itself is already worth the money paid for. Food: Booked the room with Dinner and breakfast included and I would recommend anyone that books the place to do so as well, very sumptuous spread and delicious too. There is onsen within the hotel too with indoor and outdoor pool. Highly recommended for anyone considering a hotel in kawaguchi.

Small and cozy hotel which location is super good, just in front of lake kawaguchiko. The hotel breakfast & dinner is a MUST try dishes very delicious.

Actually, I definitely not recommend you choose this ******** hotel. Firstly, the check in and check out time is 3pm and 10am. What a **** check out time is 10am? Most of hotel check out time is 11am. Secondly, the very ******** is the hotel only supply one towel, if you used it in the hot spring and wanna another towel the other day morning shower, you need to pay extra. This is the ******* point I am very disappointed for this hotel. The hot spring is also ****, very small quite dirty. You need to pay if you need locker. Furthermore, the room also very old and dirty. You can’t accept it. On the other hand, when I am there for check in, the reception is not native Japanese, I think he is from some place in South Asian descent. I am not discrimination, but these kind of people is relative impolite when serving me. He gave me he was impatient. Finally is the food, the taste is horrible I am never tasted in Japan. Dinner was shabushabu, breakfast is shabushabu. What a **** almost same food in different meal? I am not full after eating it. Additional information for your reference, if you what pick up shuttles, you need to wait until 3pm and need to make a phone call first. If you need shuttles when check out, you need to make reservation first. This trip I spent $225 usd for one night. It’s absolutely not worth. Hey guys, be alerted when you choosing this hotel.
