K's House Mt.Fuji

I stayed for 3 nights in the cabin dorm rooms, it was really comfortable and I think worth the extra money for the privacy. Staff super friendly, kitchen and common area are huge and very well stocked and it was a very short distance to the lake. About a 15 minute walk to the train/bus station famous Lawson etc but also there’sv frequent busses if you’ve got luggage etc. These photos were taken right outside the door of the hostel!

Amazing accommodation. Lovely room. Such good value for money. Unbeatable location, nice staff. Very affordable use of bikes, amenities etc. Would totally recommend!

Had a wonderful time at this hostel! It’s quite social and the people working there are kind and fun to hang out with :) The kitchen facilities and common space are great. I loved the close proximity to Lawson, a supermarket and also the lake! I didn’t have time to rent a bike, but I like that they have bikes for rent. I also did laundry while I was there and that was very easy and the dryer was effective unlike some machines I’ve used elsewhere in Japan. The hostel is about a 20-min walk from Kawaguchiko station. There are bus stops nearby but the buses stop running quite early in the evening. I stayed in a 9-bed dorm on the second floor and one thing that’s lacking is curtains for each bed. I think that would really help everyone’s sleep quality since the room curtains often aren’t closed at night (by other guests) and it would give everyone more privacy. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this hostel to anyone visiting the area!

Its great location. I have stayed 1 night only and no room as a reason i choose mix dorm . It was very first tine for me but everything is ok. Ppl in there very friendly and nice. I have rent bicycle for 1 day to explore Fuji. This place can consider to come back

My stay at K’s House was pleasant overall. The staff were very friendly and helpful—they even took the time to give me tips and guidance on bus routes around Lake Yamanakako, which I really appreciated. The bunk beds were comfortable and well-designed, with convenient plug points provided, making it easy to charge devices. The facilities, including the toilets, were clean and well maintained. The only downside is the location—it’s about a 20-minute walk from Kawaguchiko Station, which can feel a bit far, especially with luggage. Additionally, there is only one bathroom per floor, which might be slightly inconvenient during busy times. That said, I still had a good experience here and would recommend it for a comfortable stay with helpful staff.

The front desk are so helpful & friendly, made you feel welcomed. However, bicycles for rental are limited as it will be 1st come, 1st served basis. Bath towel & toothbrush are available for 100 yen each. No escalator here so you need to climb the stairs with your lugagge. The bathroom & shower room's lights are motion detected. Overall a decent stay for me, just that my room cannot connected to the free wifi provided. You definitely can see the Mt.Fuji's view once you exit the entrance. Nearest lawson is 1km away while family mart is 600m away. Buses stop services at 5pm so please plan your trip. Most of the F & B outlets are closed by 8pm. It's a countryside village after all.
