Elia Kalamaki Hotel

Totally overpriced in every way. Very small room in a very not useful modern stile. The view was ugly cause the other houses surrounding us had terrible roofs and we where on 3 rd floor so they where right in our spot. bathroom and space in the room has an unusual and not practical installation. We had to take furniture out on the balcony for getting some space. TV channels was all German. Must say we found this room very uncomfortable ant not very useful in many ways. Light was turn on at the balcony and first after 12 pm off. Coffee machine was broken and didn’t have instructions how to use and we had to wait for the desk service next day. Cleaning was ok and a big smiling desk service also in top, the breakfast peoples here was very nice. Under our stay the fire alarm went on at 05:30 am thankfully by a mistake, but what a show out off control. Next day the whole village had power out. 4 days we stayed cause we paid so much and would didn’t like to loos time for finding a new hotel or money. This area is maximum tourist area alla Asian stile and we never found a Greek restaurant with authentic atmosphere and locals food.

Excellent small hotel. Recommended All the staff were great but a special mention to Eleni & Vicki on reception who were a great source of local information, happy to chat and always gave a warm welcome Breakfasts were really good with a selection of hot & cold food. Loved the fresh orange juice , the homemade cakes and avacado cheese tomato on toast Pool pretty small but there aren’t loads of guests so no problem getting a sun bed. Pool towels provided Room was very clean with linen, towels changed every few days. Best shower I’ve ever experienced in Greece. Coffee maker but would have liked a kettle as well Pita Griil (recommended) & small supermarket just over the road. Sandy beach, more supermarkets restaurants 200 yards with a frequent bus service to Chania Town for 1.5 euro

Lovely friendly little hotel with amazing staff. Great rooms and bathroom - ours was a two bed with massive balcony (cost about £5 / week more than a one bed!) The power shower was amazing - water from 5 different points! and water pressure and temperature perfect. Nice pool and garden though it was a little cool when we visited. Nice lift to upper floors - with glass side so as not claustrophobic like most small lifts. Breakfast very good for such a small hotel (only about 5 rooms in use when we stayed) with great choice of pastries and continental stuff, which I don’t normally eat but made a big exception this time. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff, the cook made us omelettes every day on request (no one else got these and everyone else looked jealous) Ample free parking and hotel was only 200m from the beach and the bus routes. Some decent restaurants in the area or walk into Chania (about 1.15 hours) or get a bus. Hotel new and spotlessly clean, decent wifi, and other facilities including fancy coffee maker (but would have preferred a kettle) Would definitely recommend and would certainly return if I ever visit Chania again

Excellent stay! The staff here are absolutely fantastic. Nothing is a problem and they will go above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable and easy. Eleni and Vicky on reception are amazing girls, very friendly and kind and always happy to help. Klio the housekeeper was also very helpful and Yanna the cook was so funny and clearly loved her job. The pool is a little small but the hotel was quiet so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. Booked this hotel due to the very convenient free parking and some great restaurants nearby. Well done to the staff, you are all amazing!

We booked 4 nights here but due to an airline strike we ended up with only one night with two rooms for 2 adults and 3 kids. That was a pity as this hotel deserves more than only one night! Fantastic service-level, friendly personnel and a great place to be. One minute from the beach (the one next to Kalamaki restaurant is the better in our opinion) and a couple of good restaurants (Kalamaki and especially an Italian place on the corner). Close to the city of Chania with buses passing by all the time. Highly recommended! Ps: The breakfast was also good!
