Ahu Bay resort is practically brand new and perfect. The rooms are modern, and sparkling clean! The setting is spectacular resting right on the beach. The sound of the waves add a totally relaxing atmosphere. Every one of the staff are kind, thoughtful and attentive. The food is superb and the talented chief is also happy to make anything special you might like to request. The beautiful infinity pool beckons, or walk down a flight of stairs to the white sand beach and the waves below. Lounge chairs are available on the beach. For additional relaxing comfort a complete Spa experience is available! Another 10 out of 10 experience!

Small cute little boutique hotel with really good food and fantastic views to just sit, relax and unwind from your hectic life. Stayed in a pool suite which we absolutely loved. It has a separate living room facing the ocean. The best room category in the hotel. Highly recommend this property as a travel professional.

This was a last minute booking. On Friday morning we found out that both of us were free in the second half of the day. Looked for a place relatively closer to Colombo and made the reservation. Didnt do any research. Only knew it was run by a sister brand to Resplendent Ceylon. It started off on high note. On arrival we were welcomed by the property manager, by name, which we thought was quite a nice touch. The price point was somewhat similar to Cape Weligama where we got something akin to a suite. Compared to that the immediate reaction to the room was that it was quite small. But it was tastefully done in lovely shades of blue, had all the amenities and luxuries. Must especially mention the rain shower (the best I have seen anywhere), and the HD TV which was again of a much higher quality than many we've come across before. And the best part was that the veranda was almost on the beach with lovely views of the sunset. The perfect alternative if you are too lazy to actually get on the beach;) The next highlight was the food! The best we have ever had anywhere. (I had another favorite before, but this surpassed it;) Special mention must be made of the pastry chef. They had the softest buns and the fluffiest crossiants! But do take note that portions are quite large so you need to plan a bit if uou are ordering a four course meal. They have their own cocktail mixes which we found to be ok. They had a lovely pool which we were too lazy to use. The beach was public and small but not at crowded. The service was excellent! The check in check out process was very smooth. Servers were very efficient and the property manager kept checking on us regularly. All in all, perfect place if you want to just laze around with excellent food, service and comforts.

Absolutely amazing hotel, all the staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. The food is incredible and the chef personally met us at the start of our trip to ask us what we like and accommodated for our taste. Definitely for those who like a boutique, laid back feel. I'd highly recommend you do the private dinner on the beach if you have the chance!

Ahu Bay is definitely a spot worth adding to your bucket list. From the moment we arrived, the warm welcome from the team set the tone for a memorable stay. The lunch experience was exceptional, offering both delicious food and a stunning setting. Though the beach was a bit rough due to the off-season, its proximity to the accommodations more than made up for it. Imagine waking up and taking just a few steps from your bedroom to the ocean—it's a dream come true. The beautiful decor and spacious rooms provide a luxurious and comfortable stay. The lunch was fantastic, but the pictures truly speak louder than words. Ahu Bay offers a perfect blend of relaxation and elegance, making it an unforgettable destination.

Absolutely remarkable service. The rooms and resort was breathtaking. The most beautiful sunset views. The food was absolutely delicious. We tried the Sri Lankan Chef cooking experience too.
