Great place to stay. Nice room. Large, clean, nicely presented. Lovely balcony. Quiet and relaxing. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely pool to cool off after a day out. Free tuk tuk to Galle fort. 18 faces isn’t too far to walk to the fort either so easy access to the main area for restaurants etc. Recommended.

The hotel is definitely worth the price you pay. We stayed there in December. The staff are great, they look very young but there if you need anything. The hotel also has a great free tuk tuk service to Galle Fort, which is where the main area is, restaurants, Fort, cricket ground. It also had a nice pool.

We were so glad to be able to book an extra night at this hotel as on the website it looked fantastic. How really disappointed we were when we entered our pool view room. It was absolutely filthy there were marks on the floors and the bathroom was covered in mould. Which the young man tried to make excuses about the condition of it. There were stains around the sink. No way were we prepared to stay here not when we have stayed in far superior accommodation for the same amount. We expected comfort and cleanliness not to feel like we couldn't take our shoes off or unpack. Fortunately the hotel didn't charge us for our cancellation and ordered us a tuk tuk to take us to alternative accommodation.

Comment: When I arrived at the 18 Faces Hotel and saw my room I was overwhelmed with sadness,I couldn't stay here, the floor was filthy the bathroom was totally unacceptable, run down not clean at all. This might be acceptable for a backpacker I'm more mature in years I need cleanliness and comfort The bathroom. As you can see needs a full overhaul. I picked this hotel based on the customer reviews,. I couldn't change rooms because they did not have any. My daughter already asked them to clean the floor before I arrived but it still looks filthy.. Perhaps the pictures on the website are from when the building first opened. I tried to negotiate and get a refund, I wanted to go someone else. I was told if I cancel I lose all my money because I did not give 24 hours' notice and i had already paid in advance, something which I will never do again How can you expect someone to stay in a place where they are not happy. I was so tired i wanted to just stay one night because i had no choice and leave the hotel the next day, they refused to give me a refund, I was told you can stay or go but will not be getting any money back. This was management, the staff that actually did all the hard work were very friendly attentive, and helpful always smiling. The manager would not even give me some of the money back i paid £329.00 for 3 nights, Ive done a short video but was unable to load.

I booked 3 nights in May 2022 including New Year's Eve. A couple of days before my arrival they cancelled my New Year's Eve booking, but said I was welcome to stay the previous 2 nights that I had also booked. How unreliable to cancel a booking for a woman travelling alone on one of the busiest nights of the year. I can't recommend them. Beware, it could happen to you!

emplacement calme, archirecture originale mais tellement sale !!!! jai voulu utiliser les toilettes de l'accueil en arrivant: impossible!!! juste ingoble et mm pas de papier toilette... La chambre n'était franchement pas top non plus, límite même : douche repugnante, table exterieure inutilisable, raíl de baie vitrée ignoble et bain de soleil qui n'ont pas vu une eponge depuis des lustres !! et je ne parle pas des tonnes de poubelles entassees derriere notre chambre ds la coursive qui mene a la cuisine... le personnel est pourtant present et nombreux mais complètement desoeuvré. il manque assurement un responsable ou.un manager sur place !!! pour le petit dej, tres copieux et correct sauf les fruits qui ne sont pas refrigerés et servis chaud ( impossible de boire le jus de fruits et malgré notre demande il na pas été possible davoir des glacons)
