Diamond Beach Resort - Lazy River View #419

We stayed in 5PH2 and Ms Maria had it going on in there!!! Very lovely penthouse and view. Anything that you may need, Maria provided. Also bring batteries for the remotes…they have a lot of use and many of the remotes weren’t working due to batteries needing to be replaced. The rooms and bathrooms are elegant, classy and functional. The patio furniture is also a nice touch. Great decor throughout. Bravo! Thanks for letting us stay for a week!

Diamond Beach - Galveston Concierge staff at check in was not welcoming No information was given at checkin regarding available amenities, only property “don’t” rules and fine policies were communicated Property in general was in a state of disrepair and there was no sign of any significant repair activity Main outside pool was closed There was a lot of loose Debris on walkways around lazy river There was Stagnant water, breeding mosquitos, in volleyball court area near lazy river There was no easy direct beach access - access available but quite a distance from resort An elevator was out of service (only one operating) There was low water pressure and hot water was sporadic 3rd floor bar was closed (permanently) Outside bar was also unavailable The condo we rented (517) needed some TLC. The lock on the patio door was broken, toaster was broken, no remotes for the ceiling fans, the patio furniture was corroded, the (smart) refrigerator didn’t work properly and condo staff did not respond, Also there is a need to replace pans and pots, and most of the knives unusable, need sharpening. Resort was definitely overpriced for condition of room, property, limited amenities and lack of staff responsiveness

Amazing view of the beach and pool/lazy river. The resort was nice and we loved the amenities. Check-in/out was quick and the front desk clerks were helpful/nice. The pool was never crowded and we did not have to drive far for restaurants, attractions, or shopping. We loved the layout and space of the condo, however it was a few things that could have been better: -The communication with property manager should have been better. Mold was in the washer and bathrooms. I did reach out to property manager with photos and was told they would send housekeeping. After waiting for a few hours and no housekeeper or communication from property management, we had to go to Walmart to buy some products to clean. Not how we wanted to spend our afternoon. -The A/C kept going up to 76/77 even though we would change it to 72. It was hot especially at night! Not sure who was controlling it but it is too hot in June to be sitting in a condo at that temp. - Housekeeping needs to do a thorough cleaning. There was dust in a few places and we found hair in 2/3 beds. Some of the baking pans were dirty and put in the bottom cabinet. Overall, we made the best of it!

Annual girl’s trip. Ladies aged 18-68. We stayed in the King of Diamonds condo. Plenty of room for everyone plus all the stuff/food 5 women can pack for a 3 day stay. It was perfection.The group at the concierge desk were awesome. Especially John.He went above and beyond. One of our group went downstairs to meet us at the big rocks. We had already gone back up to the condo. She left without the key He made sure she got back to us. We are already looking at dates for the 2025 trip because we didn’t see everything we wanted to this trip. Diamond Condos are the only condos we saw with a pool, lazy river and beautiful beach views. We’ll definitely return here.

The property is awesome! However, the condo furnishings were very worn some damaged. 1. The sofa was a pull out sleeper and was broken. You would sink down into it on metal in then could hardly get up when you sat on it. 2. The coffee cups were up high and we had to have a step ladder to get to them. 3. There was a partial roll of paper towels, only in the kitchen. 4. There were six of us and there were two rolls of toilet paper and each bathroom we had to buy toilet paper. We had to buy paper towels we had to buy dishwashing soap. None of these items were mentioned in any of the information we received ,that we would have to bring those things with us. 5. The refrigerator filter light was blinking so we weren't comfortable using the water or ice so we had to buy ice. We reported it to maintenance but it wasn't changed out any of the five days we were here. 6. There was a very large, fake leather recliner that all the leather was peeling off of it and it was all over the floor 7. The patio door lock did not work. 8. We each received only 1 towel each for our 4 day stay. 9. The layout of the condo is nice I ll say that! 10. If the owner would re-decorate and get some new furniture we would give this five stars

We were very disappointed in our unit. I’d give it 0 stars. We went through Ryson and it was nothing like pictures. The place wasn’t clean, (hair left in shower and bathroom) broken furniture and appliances, no hot water (to start) etc. We contacted maintenance and they immediately fixed the hot water issue but everything else was the responsibility of the homeowners/Ryson. I called Ryson 5 x and after 7 days still haven’t heard from them. On the other hand- I’m given the 2 stars to the pool and staff at Diamond Beach. The pool was kept very clean and I frequently saw staff cleaning it. The movie room was awesome and the kids loved the play room. I’d just really research what unit you choose because ours was nothing like images we were shown.
