Huge disappointment 😣 1. At 05 30 I discovered no tes/ coffee making facilities in the room. Phoned reception and requested for room service. You have to wait until 07 :00? Unacceptable excuse. At €500 night cant you afford a kettle , a beaker + tea and coffee. Just like all other hotels. Or better still employ one more charming man from Sri Lanka to provide room service during the night hours, 2. Go and watch elderly guests trying to get into the pool. They all needed assistance. For heavens sake add a hand rail at the shallow end. Simple ! 3. I was unable to get to the changing room, poolside. Steps, but NO hand rail. So changed behind one of the chairs. Not welcome. 4 At check in G. Vanoni took ages to decide which room to give and then what rate go charge me. Eventually she quoted €500. Which i wrote down. The next morning the bill was for €551 😉 I naturally questioned this. The receptionist was adamant it was correct. After much discussion she got G. Vanoni on the phone who said I was wrong and she was right. She then said she can't see what rate was in the computer for last night. G. Vanoni IMHO needs training in customer facing skills. She refused to listen. Just kept speaking over me, She has 2 ears and 1 mouth. Try using them in that proportion. So I left VILLA DEL SOGNO , very dissatisfied. Just not worth €500 ,,,,,,,, for what..? I normally only use Trip Advisor to only make a favourable report. If something is wrong I prefer to tell them face to face.

We stayed at Hotel Villa del Sogno for two nights. Frankly speaking, it's not worth the price by its hardware and software. Hardware part: the building is old, the rooms lack of any modern amenities with used up furniture, aged room deco, old bedding materials, no coffee machine and small bathroom. There are only a handful guests for breakfast, and the breakfast was not good, lack of variety and the supposedly hot food was rather cold instead. The five star is clearly over-rated. Will no visit again and will not recommend.

We stayed here for 4 nights on our honeymoon and it was just perfect. It’s a gorgeous, classy hotel set high up on the road so the sea views are incredible. It’s better value for money than the hotels across the road on the waterfront but you feel like you’re there anyway. The staff are so helpful and friendly. I didn’t feel well when we arrived and they asked how I was feeling every day. Breakfast was delicious and we ate in the bar a couple of nights too (we didn’t try the main restaurant). Food was great and 5 star service to match. It was a quiet time of year so not many people around but that didn’t bother us. We had a room with a terrace which was lovely. We slept well and the beds were really comfortable. Grazia on reception was exceptional with her local knowledge and help. I left a ring at the hotel by accident and they found it and returned it to me with much care and consideration. We shall definitely return in future years (a big anniversary perhaps) and I can’t recommend highly enough. Thank you for making our honeymoon so memorable.

We had the most extraordinary stay at Hotel Villa del Sogno. The hotel offers an amazing view and atmosphere that is truly special. The staff is very friendly and professional, and the waiters made the evenings to something really special - especially thanks to Fransesco! We will definately be back.

We stayed at the Villa del Sogno as part of a weeks break, starting in Verona for the opera at the arena. This hotel did not disappoint, perched high above Lake Garda, with tremendous views, with a fabulous pool with attached restaurant. The room we had was very large and very well appointed. The bathroom was equally as impressive with ultra modern fixtures. All of the staff were outstanding, from the reception thru to those servicing the rooms. A particular thanks to the restaurant and bar staff, impeccably dressed, totally professional and courteous. The food we enjoyed was of a very high standard, and to cap it all the outside dining terrace had the most wonderful views over Lake Garda. Thank you for making our 4 night stay such a wonderful experience. We are certain to return when visiting Lake Garda again.

Situated high in the hills, with an outstanding panoramic view of the lake. Can only be accessed by motorised transport, unless you're a mountaineer, but the hotel lays on a superb regular minibus shuttle to and from lakeside. Hotel has a restaurant, swimming pool and free wifi Lady on reception desk was particularly helpful and informative Would definitely revisit Cannesdid .... surfingsyd
