Premier Inn Skipton North (Gargrave)

arrived at 2.30 from manchester.ask could we go to our room to be told we would have to pay 15 pounds as check in isnt until 3.00.couldnt believe what we heard.then ask can i use the toilet to be told the toilet is broke and not even offered to use a toilet in the hotel.DREADFUL..then said i will got to the bar next door for some lunch to be told it doesnt open until 6.00pm. we have used premier inns before and this was our worst experience .will not be returning again definitley.pre booked the breakfast next door which were terrible.guests should be treated better.

The room and bathroom were clean and spacious. The restaurant was very tired and cold and could do with being refurbished. Also, the restaurant wasn't attached to the main building. The staff were pleasant and helpful. I would possibly stay there again if visiting the area but wouldn't use the restaurant.

Great location for a walking trip. When I arrived I had a problem with the lights in my room. Ellie on reception couldn't have been more helpful in solving the problem. Breakfast was good and cooked to order. Anna greeted us with a smile and bags of enthusiasm each morning. All added to a good experience.

The good points:- The welcome from the receptionist was warm and friendly. We had a problem with the first room but she moved us to another without any fuss. The room was what you expect in a Premier inn, bed very very comfortable, the room was very quiet, with a view to the canal. The breakfast buffet had plenty of choice, and would suit the hungrier diner. Not so good:- the first impression of the entrance was poor, scuffed door and very worn carpet. The attached pub where we had breakfast was depressing in atmosphere, clearly due a refit. We would stay again, but hope that something would be done to improve the experience.

Dated hotel would give a miss,smell of damp in room and sewage smell in corridor,can visibly see run marks on where water has been running down walls,tv is from 90’s and the WiFi is terrible but you can purchase better WiFi for £5 (cheek) would give this premier inn a miss until they take the decision to update it for 1995 to 2025

This hotel simply doesn't deserve the word Premier in its name. The experience with the customer service team when I tried to change the date was shocking, totally intransigent. The bed was very comfortable to be fair but the room was freezing on arrival. The room itself was fine but the bathroom was awful. There is mould growing above the shower and the quality of the carpentry around the door would have been hilarious if I hadn't had to pay £81 to stay there. I have since heard that other Premier Inns are like this as well. I will never stay at a Premier Inn again for as long as it is like this.
