Travelodge Newcastle Whitemare Pool

It has been a wonderful experience

Very clean and comfortable room and bathroom. Comfortable bed and and friendly helpful staff. No noise inside hotel. Turn off to hotel hard to find as hotel sign was not lit and hotel was hidden from road by high and dense hedge. On the other hand this cut down the noise from the nearby road so silver lining.

I stayed here for work, slight delay when checking in but staff member soon sorted it out. Standard Travelodge hotel but very clean, pleasant staff and food outlets on site.

The room at Travelodge Newcastle Whitemare Pool was in a shocking state — blood-stained bedding, mould, dirt, rust, and generally unhygienic conditions. This falls far below Travelodge’s stated standards of care and cleanliness.

This hotel is on a main road and nothing can be done about that, however the dual carriage way is currently closed overnight, so not only access is difficult after 8pm long diversions from one direction, the other way in you are guided in by a convoy vehicle. There is constant construction noise from the road surface being replaced including a constant beeping (like van reversing all night.) The hotel does know about it, how come there was no warning upon booking? I could have easily stayed at another Travelodge location nearby. Plus the car park was full of white vans to do with the resurfacing, making it tight to park. Add to this hotel is well out of date, did you know some locations still have actual keys and not key cards? This location does it shows how old this location is and how long since they have don a serious refurb. It also awful shower pressure, Bedroom clean but sparse. Worth no where near what they are charging per night even without the current construction noise.

Mark Is the best example of an employee I could imagine. He should be a regional manager with a pay rise easily very helpful regardless of time or conditions
