Top on every level! Luxury, relaxation, culture … everything included in a family owned business. Unique architecture, style, and cuisine. Room with a spectacular view on the Alpes by Salzburg. Same on the Spa level on top. Superb dinner and perfectly organised cultural events such as the New Years Concert in Salzburg included ( tickets and shuttle service included ) Great pleasure!

It is the second time I have stayed and I feel very "at home" here. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, the food fabulous and the staff extremely helpful and friendly. I haven't used the Spa facilities yet but I did fit in a swim last time and hope to find time for the full experience at some point. I'm looking forward to staying with you again soon!

We have just spent 4 nights at this hotel as a family of 2 adults and a 7 year old. Service has been excellent from start to finish. We took a taxi from the airport which took about 15mins and cost 30 euros. Upon check in on our first day we made use of the spa facilities. Children are welcome in the pool all day and our daughter enjoyed herself every day, as did we. Views from the pool across the region are spectacular. The sauna facilities were also excellent. Breakfast was a plentiful affair with all the usual fresh Austrian items served in a beautiful big breakfast room. We ate dinner in the hotel every night - both the a la carte and 4 course half board menu options were excellent. Our daughter enjoyed everything from the children’s menu too. We took the bus into Salzburg and back most days, getting off at Mirabelplatz which was very central. We also got off here and caught the 840 bus on one day to Berchtesgaden and had a great day visiting the salt mines (note - remember to collect an audio guide if not German speaking!) and had lunch in the town itself which was lovely. All in all a wonderful stay in a really wonderful hotel. Thank you

We booked 2 of the renovated rooms and they are really nice: nice colors, upholstery, great bathroom, cosy and warm. Good bed. There were no coffee/tea making facilities however when I asked for a water kettle, it was immediately delivered to the room Spa facilities are really nice with a pool on 3rd floor (heated) and sauna and steam bath. Breakfast was very good as you would expect in Austria with diferent breads, fresh orange juice, cheeses, cold cuts etc etc. Dinner was a little less impressive, not a lot of choice, specfically if you are not a meat eater (schnitzel). Great starter though with bread and butter and cold cuts on the table. Dessert was a disappointment: kaiserschmarren were cold, they had the wrong sponginess, not soft and fluffy but too chewy. We returned them and they never charged us for them. All in all this was a very nice hotel for our stop over into the skiing area and we will for sure consider returning next year

Very impressed by this family run business. They have a good mix of rooms some over the road are very new. There are very good pool and gym facilities. Parking is underground. The staff are very professional. The breakfasts were very good with huge choice and wonderful juices and breads. Our first night meal was from the top price menu ; it was very good and the wine recommendation was very good too. They clearly have a top cellar. You can take the bus from outside to the centre of Salzburg. The views are nice either from the indoor pool or if you take a short walk to the east. They say they are the oldest family owned business in Austria. Faultless and long May they continue. Thank you Elixhausen team.

Turned up without booking after visiting Oberammergau and agreed a package half pension with treatments in Spa. Not cheap but reasonable. Only there for four days and wanted to see Salzburg as well as other places. Room was in old building. Comfortable cosy and convenient for dining room and bar. I think best option than the spa building which is more modern. Inclusive dinner was four course and hit the mark every night except one when the meat option was not to my taste and the fish option was a bit lightweight for me. Excellent breakfast room. Perfect for exploring Salzburg, just take the bus, no hassle with parking etc. Would definitely go back.
