Hotel Montana

I went a day earlier to confirm my stay with the hotel. They couldn't find my booking. I showed them my confirmation on my phone. I was told that they can see my confirmation number but no payment was made by trip.com. They assured me that such has happened before and told me to be on the safe guard book another room as a standby. They assured me that they will not swipe my card until matter is resolved. That assurance made me check in. I kept coming to the front office every now and then and I was told it was resolved. Only on the last night I was told that by Trip.com of the error in the address. In the meantime the hotel had swiped my card. Surprisingly they did not honour the feedbacks I gave to Hotel Montana Geneve and Hotel Montana Zurich. There was no email to apologise for the oversight and delay in handling. I went to the hotel one day earlier to check, they could have attended to it and not confidently putting the blame on trip.com since there has been previous incidents where [ayment was not received. I thought Hotel Montana group could have handled this matter better. Quite disappointing.

A superior twin room booked, what we got was a overheated, airless, dark and depressing cell. The room was at the rear of the hotel backing a municipal car park. The window to the car park has a metal shutter, this is to block the light from car park security lights. The shutter opens to 20cm, The room has a aircon cabinet fitted but will not be connected until October 24. Complained regarding this situation and a request for a change was met with a negative stare and a stand alone air con machine was fitted with the ducting out of the window, lots of car park noise possible but no match for the noise of the air con machine. There being no option save to sleep in the street we had to stay. Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I didn't try the breakfast just in a hurry to get out. Bathroom has no ventilation, you have to climb in the bath shower, No grab handles. My experience is a big zilch. ******* has this on its books but will not be of any assistance if you complain.

Visited Geneva for a long w/end & chose to stay here. Location is close to local transport (hotel sent us free travel passes) & the train station. Hotel was cosy & comfortable with a lift to all floors, with a helpful & friendly reception team. Can’t comment on the buffet breakfast, as we didn’t try it. We just chose to eat out & sample the local delights. Lake Geneva at the bottom of the road & plenty of retain therapy en route if you have deep pockets.

Great location but that’s the only positive. Hotel room advertised as superior was anything but. Very small room with limited coffee facilities 2 pods of coffee and three sugars ! Bedroom ceiling had a grubby stain on it and generally looked tired. The balcony was pleasant and overlooked a busy car park. The receptionists were miserable and unwelcoming. Would not return

Awful. No aircon on 30+ degrees day. Small room, cheaply furnished, no night front desk... if you come back after 11 pm they leave the keys of tour room to the hotel des alps! Fkn unbelievable! Almost entertaining! Very poor hotel. It says it is a 3 stars, in reality it is one notch above a hostel. Good thing is, it is very close to the train station. Avoid.
