The staff were friendly and helpful during my stay. My room was nicely prepared and clean. I happened to meet the room maintenance lady that came the next morning. She was very friendly and nice to greet with me. I had enjoyed my time staying here and would recommend it to other people. It is a heritage hotel but is very well maintained.

Service reception was successful, house keeping was helping, hotel just in the middle of town can access to all place, facilities and amenities was good, i like the pool is beautiful and clean, sure will repeat again soon.

It was a comfortable stay at the hotel. Th staff were friendly in greeting when arrived. The lobby was clean and smelt good. In fact the entire hotel smelt wonderful. Rooms were big but the cleanliness can be improve. Breakfast was good too.

The best royal chulan chains in Malaysia so far compared to the one in KL and Damansara. Staff quality on the top notch, always greeting and smiling. Room is spacious and very clean. The bathroom is really clean and separated for the w.c and the shower. Breakfast was good and delicious too! Overall satisfied with the service and please keep it up!!

I had a wonderful stay at Royale Chulan Penang. The room was spacious and elegant, truly living up to its name. The Sahur meal had a great variety of delicious options, making it a satisfying experience. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring a smooth and comfortable stay. Overall, a fantastic hotel with great service, good food, and a royal touch. Highly recommended!

The service attitude is very good, and the layout of the room is also very distinctive.

Great breakfast; very clean room and excellent customer service. Only downside is not a lot of parking; the outside facade misleading: once you get in, it’s 5 star hotel, almost. Will be back for sure. Loved the heritage feeling.

Everything is good, acceptable. The front desk staff Liang is nice. Pool towel and chair are always not enough for guests.

The price was reasonable but I felt the service and cleanliness was not up to standard of a 4 star hotel. The hotel room was big, although it was aged. It had a sofa and separate room for Wardrobe and luggage. But the Aircon was weak, which made my stay uncomfortable. The temperature seems to be controlled by the hotel as it would always feel like 24-25 degrees no matter how low I set it. The corridors are also very hot and stuffy. Only the lobby has proper Aircon. The shower drainage was also poor and the toilet bidet is leaking. The safe box is spoiled and the Wardrobe doors don’t slide well. The bed linens had small stains and small hairs. The housekeeping staff need better training as they didn’t clean the room properly or replenish the amenities completely. One staff also chose to hold the lift, while I was inside, to mop the floor. I understand he was just doing his job, but he shouldn’t do it at the inconvenience of hotel guests. Front desk staff and cafe staff are very good though. The breakfast buffet was average, but no Penang dishes at all. Swimming pool is small but cozy and water is nice.

We enjoy our stay at Royale chulan Penang as its very strategic location. Just use the free bus ride within George town, we can see many historic building and place. We can also use other public bus to go other places as the main bus terminal is just near to the hot.
