Grand Coastal Hotel

It was not a quadruple room. Construction around my room sawing and banging starting at approximately 7 am each day and continuing all day. Food was horrible it used to be good. every description of their meals are now misleading. I ordered the lamb shanks it tasted fresh, was not marinated or seasoned properly. Ordered the pork ribs looked scrumptious, but was tough as leather. Ordered a club sandwich, it came without bacon (bacon was in the description). sent it back and when it came back it had one piece of bacon on one half of the sandwich. the supervisor told me point blank he cant do anything about it, and they still charged me the 12 USD for the sandwich. Bottom Line this place has dropped its standards from when I last stayed there in 2006 when I was on active duty and stationed at the US Embassy. Asked to speak with the owner who I met from my stay in 2006, but the gatekeeping employees did everything to prevent that, so this is my only option. Also, the checkin staff need a course on how to smile and greet customers, its like they are on auto pilot and doing you a favor. Positives the place was clean and the most of the wait staff were great Abraham and Ryan were great.

I came here with a group on a business trip mainly because it was the only available with the Cricket World Cup going on. The hotel is small and quiet and the staff really makes an effort. It has a nice restaurant outside and the food was good. Is a little remote so you need to call a taxi way in advance. My room was ok but I had some issues with the cleanliness

Delicious, imaginative food menu, well equipped, clean modern rooms and a very relaxed feel. I will be returning!

Because of excellent service from the following departments we will go back. ( Collin and staff restaurant/Bar). Nicole and her staff ( Housekeeping), Brian and Leon ( Drivers). Security is great which is visible. They make us feel safe. Cannot forget the restaurant staff. Food quantity ,quality and taste excellent. My initial reservation was booked directly with the hotel in November 2023. Administrative staff is incompetent.. They need some training in handling booking error etc. I booked my last half of my stay with ******* which was very good.

The overall service at GHC was excellent especially the customer service. The environment was clean and conducive to us however, there was one unfortunate event where the water kept wetting the bathroom floor if we didn’t wanted to bathe in the bathroom tub which can be corrected.

I visited Grand Coastal hotel for the first time on my 1 st wedding anniversary myself and husband to spend the night and have dinner . From the time I walk into that place it was giving . The receptionist my the name of Abina was very welcoming with her beautiful smile, she was with us from the beginning to end . She even help my husband to make the night even more special for me 🥰🥰 The service was amazing, the food was 10/10 no complaints. Keep up the good work 🥰ABINA 🥰

We got away for a quick family outing, and we are glad we chose GCH! The food was excellent, the service was great, and the rooms were comfortable. Our only regret was that the hotel was fully booked most of the time, and we could not stay beyond the two nights that were available. Try Grand Coastal if it's available.

Excellent service and food as always. I go here often for food, I have never stayed at the hotel. Their food is excellent and service is excellent. One suggestion would be to change their food menu occasionally, there are only a few healthy options for people on a diet

***Do not stay at this hotel!*** This is one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at. Even compared to low-cost budget hotels, the standards and service at this hotel are below standard. I highly recommend seeking an alternative.  Summary of concerns: - changed room reservation to a downgraded smaller room without notice to the customer and no compensation or refund, and free meals which was not compensation for impacting an entire day of travel with small children.  - no common area for guests to gather and eat takeout with friends and other guests, the main area seating is reserved only for accessing their menu, and there is no inclusive gathering space. - no access to an air-conditioned dining room for guests because it was closed on several occasions for private events, leaving paying guests, including those with small children, to sit outside regardless of the temperature.  - staff was extremely slow and did not prioritize correcting errors, they had to be constantly reminded of issues, and to not proactively seek to resolve guest concerns.  - played North American English music (mostly piano jazz or pop songs) in the restaurant, no culturally appropriate or local music, very disappointing approach to erase local community and culture.  - misleading advertising of select renovated rooms, not all rooms are renovated, and even renovated rooms are not what advertised with partial work done. - no consideration for guests, renovation of rooms adjacent to rooms with guests, construction noise, various fumes (i.e. paint and gas), and construction workers in guests' areas ongoing. - hotel food and bar service closes at 10 pm, with almost no options locally - good luck finding anything unless you get a cab to take you somewhere… - force customers to use an overpriced buffet with no al a carte options made available and no consideration for various dietary restrictions.   Overall, this hotel runs a monopoly in the East Coast as one of the few options.  Unfortunately, they don’t have competition. Any other option with mild civility, common sense, and organization would put this place out of business overnight.
