We have just returned from an 11 night stay at the Caldera Creta Paradise. The staff could not have been nicer and were really friendly and attentive, especially to the children. At check in they took our bags for us and helped us to our room. The room itself was lovely and clean, with a big comfy bed and even a bath which is really helpful when you have a toddler. The shower gel in the shower smells amazing! However, the hairdryer is not great and we found ours overheated and wouldn't switch back on again after about 2-3 minutes use but to be honest, it's far too hot to be drying your hair properly! Our rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels and restocks of hand soap, toilet roll etc. Overall, couldn't fault the cleanliness of the hotel at all. The food is great, with a wide variety and I'd be shocked if you couldn't find something to eat. The kids section is brilliant as they have plastic plates and bowls and the food is at a child's height so they can enjoy picking what they want to eat themselves. The drinks are self service in the restaurant with your standard fizzy drinks, fruit juices, tea, coffee, beer and wine. There are also plenty of high chairs available for the little ones and dirty plates are cleared away promptly. We ate at the Italian A La Carte on our last evening at the hotel and whilst the food was lovely, the service was a bit poor. They got our daughter's order wrong and then took 15 minutes to bring mayonnaise over to our table, despite asking twice. We also only got offered one drink with our meal and weren't asked if we would like another. The evening entertainment is good with a kids mini disco and a show afterwards. My toddler was absolutely in love with Billy and he is fantastic with the kids. My daughter wouldn't dance at the start of the holiday as she was too shy but the minute Billy got her on stage she wanted to go up next to him all the time. In terms of the evening shows, the circus and magician were our toddlers favourite and we thought they were great (especially the circus). The only down side of the evening entertainment is the lack of nearby bar and toilet. There is a bar just outside the amphitheatre that is open in the day (but not all inclusive, strangely) but is closed at night. I think the hotel is missing a trick there, they should open it up in the evening for all inclusive guests and build a closer toilet block than the pool toilet as it is a long walk for a toddler desperate for a wee! I think this would encourage more people to stay at the entertainment as it can get very hot in there. Other things we liked about this hotel are the pool, the beach (although bring water shoes to get into the water) and the children's parks. The cocktails are also really nice and not just sickly sweet pre-mixed things that you sometimes get at other hotels. The little shop by the pool is also great to pick up toys for the kids to play with in the pool and any inflatables you may wish to purchase. All in al
