The room is bigger than expected🤣 it allows me to relax and enjoyed the quiet ambiance. The onsens are really nice too and overall experience is excellent

good location good Service and very good onsen

First tatami hotel experience for me & kid. She is super excited with first time experience. Hotel is strategically located, great location to view the firework.

Nice view and location a little bit smell in room from tatami delicious food good experience but some dirty on paper wall would be renovate.

An old hotel that retains its grandness.. Although at check in, I was informed there's a charge only if I take the flowery yukata. There are free surprises in the Japanese room every day. Clean Japanese socks, towels in bags and a different Japanese sweet every day with Japanese tea My room faces the Hida River, it was beautiful looking out. It is very near the rail line, but it didn't disturb me. And I suppose all river facing hotels face the same light loving insects. But if you follow the instructions placed in the room, it is alright

Hotel is quite old, facilities are dated, limited amenities and quite far from train station and city centre.

The interior is ok size but very old, like 80’s . Staffs are helpful, the public hot spring without any staffs, also just too small. Given such pricing can’t expert too much. Is reasonable

Nice hotel with Japanese style Facilities all good

Do not book this hotel. Staff is unfriendly and not willing to help. I had a situation with my booking, the manger ( or whom looks like managing level) was witnessing the entire situation and refuse to walk towards us to help even we showed that we are unhappy with the situation. The handling staff was helpless cause he is very green and cannot make decision. This is unexpectable hospitality. Another unpleasant experience we had was the entire property is too crowded. There are big groups like 30+ , obviously from traveling agency, our stay was noisy and not relaxed. I don’t recommend if you’re looking for a quiet and serene Onsen stay. After the private Onsen, my husband and I was itching the whole night which never happened to us in other Onsen. We also found bed bites on the tatami and everything in the room is pretty old and unfixed, obvious they do not care. Last but not least, they lied. We had a problem with our booking, I arrived two days earlier than my booking, I was asked to re-book and pay on-site and to ask for refund on trip.com later, which we did. On site was more expansive but we accepted that because it was our mistake. We told them clearly we are not going to come again on the wrong date. We also book in the same name so they are clearly aware that we came already. I submitted a refund request immediately and got no reply for 2 days. Until the day of, trip.com called me and said hotel refuse to refund and claim they have prepared the room. This is very shady because they clearly knew and also we were ticked into paying on-site, thinking they will amend our wrong booking. At the end, we are double charged for a shitty experience. I cannot believe I’m experiencing this in Japan.

Not clean as we expected or from review, food is normal, the beef is not very great. Hot spring is ok

Dated rooms that are well-maintained and overall clean. Onsen facilities (female) are very basic and lack amenities. Meals are a let-down in Japanese kaseiki terms (especially after the first night) with poor sense of seasonality and also simplistic in nature. Breakfast was not filling, while dinner was often cold or unbalanced. One night here is more than enough.

A bit old, the toilet is not clean, no conditioner in toilet(while the public bath have), private onsen is good, a bit far from the centre, we have both dinner and breakfast included, the food is soso comparing with those I stay before
