Fantastic place for a relaxing week-end. The place is huge and quiet. We could walk to the center of the town and beach (15m) surrounded by vineyards which is one of the top basque destinations for seafood and pintxos. Believe me, I am a local living 30m away and the site is worth it.

We have liked Usotegi very much. The most beautiful view I have ever had from a balcony. Very good breakfast ! Very clean ! If there was a possibility to have diner at the location it would be perfect. For diner you have to go into town which takes you 12 minutes down hill (there are a lot of stairs, but for the way back you can take the escalator and afterwards the elevator and walk back through the vineyards. For people with knee problems take the car. There are 2 parking spots , where you have to pay (1 euro per hour. After 20.00 pm you don’t pay. Before going to a restaurant in Getaria check whether it is open. Some are closed on monday others on thursday ( maybe it depends on the season) Zumaia is nice to visit “ the Flysch”, very beautiful to see at low tide. And you can easily go by bus to San Sebastian. 45 minutes. Getaria is still a place without many foreign tourists ( except those who walk the camino)

Amazing. Such a beautiful place. So clean and fresh Calm and peaceful with wonderful views. Great breakfast lots of choice. Friendly people to. Have stayed twice before on motorbikes great riding

A fantastic place, the gardens, the vines, it's literally a little paradise! The staff is so kind and helpful, they tell you where to visit, the opening hours of the restaurants (which is a bit confusing), The breakfast is perfect. 15 minutes walking to downtown!

Wonderful place to stay. Warm welcome on arrival. Spacious room with a balcony and views over vineyards and out to sea. Great breakfast. Good access to Getaria town and its restaurants. Good overall location. Very good value for money. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Spanish Basque Country look no further. It’s such a lovely place.

Aizpea and her family have worked hard to transform this beautiful retreat. Beginning as graze land for cattle they realized vineyards were a more appropriate use of the land. The views of the vineyards, the ocean and sounds of a still working farm provide for a quiet and welcome retreat. The hospitality, attention to detail and comfort are obviously paramount as they open their home to share with their guests who they treat as family. Highly recommend this establishment.

At first, I thought oh no it’s too far from town. But once you know about the outdoor escalators and the lift, the 15min walk is really enjoyable (with one short uphill section of the road, just before the property). Aizpea, the owner, gave me the warmest of welcomes. This, after her lovely uncle (muy noble!) gave me a lift part way. She needs to be cloned and spread around the world: this is how hospitality should be. She was very knowledgable about the area and gave clear instructions on how to get around on foot/bus. My room was massive! In fact, it was a large lounge/sitting area plus a separate bedroom. Both with balconies overlooking the gorgeous countryside. As for noise, all rooms are tiled so it can get a bit loud. That said, I don’t think this place attracts a late night crowd so it was mostly quiet between 11 and 8. A delicious breakfast is served from 9.

Location is excellent, the people very friendly, the breakfast outstanding and the room delightful exept for the heat. The host gives you all the information about the area and tips to visit. The room has been cleaned every day and the house smells lovely.

Usotegi's location in the hills above Getaria is fantastic. Beautiful and very quiet, yet only a 15 minute (at max) walk from the town. The employees were very friendly and provided some great tips about places to visit in the surrounding area.
