My adult son and I just finished a 3-day, 4-night father-son Gettysburg trip and the Federal Pointe was perfect. We each had our own rooms and it was well worth it. The rooms are very large by today’s standards, with high ceilings. The location is excellent, with ample free parking right at the door. We enjoyed the Pub downstairs for one evening meal, and the cafe just on the other side of their parking lot that they are associated with had bountiful inexpensive breakfasts (best blueberry pancakes EVAH). The staff was friendly and personable as well. Gettysburg is not all that big - a 4-minute drive will get you from one end to the other - so even though the Federal Pointe is on the north side of town, it is within walking distance of just about everything. Our FAVE pub, the Garryowen Irish Pub, is just two blocks away. General Lee’s HQ is just up the pike. One caveat - since this was originally an 1890s schoolhouse, access to the second floor is by stair only, so request a ground floor room if you need to.
