All the hotel staff especially Enya and Jhoana were very welcoming. Great breakfast and value for money. We stayed in a small family apartment which was clean and comfortable. Getxo is beautiful and would definitely repeat our stay during warmer weather

Good Site. Breakfast service is gratis! Johanna and Enya, Great Service. Sea View romos are beautifil. Rooms need attention like Doors and floors but other than that allnis gratis. Clean and confortable. Good walking distance entertainment

The breakfast is delicious, but the best part was Enya service. She is so helpful and attentive she made the stay wonderful. She is the best make sure to visit the breakfast service when you come. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

To make a long story short, pretty appropriate, convenient, very pleasant, nicely located, beautifully managed at reception, nicely served, clean… To keep a long story long… Could it be improved? Yes, I would have liked to have control over the heating (mornings in particular were rather chilly) although this was not a big issue at all, I would have liked to use the hairdryer outside the bathroom but it was hardwired, I would have liked to have a mirror where to appreciate I had caught the back of my long skirt with my pants before I saw myself in the elevator full body mirror (yes, things like that happen in my world). It would have been nice not to have been looked at like a criminal. Some lady who looked like a manager of some sort looked at me in such way after I had forgotten (as per usual) to give my room number at breakfast. Yes, my fault entirely, but I don’t like people to look at me Gestapo-like, sending employees after me, following a discreet whisper. She surely could have told me herself if my behavior had been so unacceptable. But I am not here to talk about the hotel and its furniture, I am here to talk about people, human beings and angels. Like Marta and Ionela in the morning shift, putting up with the hangovers, barking dogs and muppets like this humble writer, who asks for tissues at reception simply because I had my head up some other part of my anatomy and did not realize I had some in the bathroom. The patience of those girls meets no end. Also, Adina and Noelia in the evening shift. It is always comforting coming back from stuffing myself like a Christmas Turkey and finding a couple of smiles on legs behind the counter. Let alone some kindness after some guests (humble writer included) have drunk about all the wine in Getxo. By the way, if you are reading this review because you don’t know whether or not to go, just do it. Should you not like it you can always go out and drink some beautiful Rioja Crianza. You will still not like whatever you don’t like, but you’ll care much less about it or quite simply forget about it altogether. In fact, there was an absolute beauty of a young human being with short blond hair in the late shift but I think the Crianza had already made me too happy to be able to even read a name. Please, inform me of his name so I can amend the review and thank them for the most beautiful smile. All in all. Is the hotel ok, is it good? Yes, like many others. Are the people behind the reception desk in Tamarises like in many others? Nope. They are, in my experience, worth choosing Tamarises for. Hope to see you all again soon guys. Meanwhile be good (unlike me), behave (CERTAINLY unlike me) and keep up the good work!

04/22/25 UPDATE - We just received the refund for the rooms after posting this review. It's a shame that they did not respond to our emails before, but we do appreciate the refund now. Thank you. 04/10/25 - We recently booked 4 nights at Tamarises. One of our musts is that a hotel has air conditioning and since we had stayed there before, we knew it has it plus it’s listed as such on their website. After checking in we realized that the AC was not available in the hotel because it wasn’t hot enough yet according to them. Ok, we thought we will open the balcony doors and make the most of it. What they don’t tell you is that every night from 8 pm approx they turn on the heater and you can not turn it off in your room. So you have no choice but to sleep with the heater on, which gives us headaches. So we had to leave the hotel at 10 pm and pay for two new rooms at another hotel. Since then we have reached out to management by email and by phone and have received absolutely no response. We have spent over $900 for 2 rooms for nothing and no one returns our calls. Make sure you know that if you book this hotel and have any kind of issue you will not get a response from them. And hopefully the heater does not make you sick.
