The Mansion

Hello! We visited Belgium for the first time and enjoyed everything, but our stay in the country was spoiled by a hotel with **BEDBUGS**. This hotel does not match the photos. It was stated that it is suitable for people with disabilities, but in fact, the hotel is **NOT SUITABLE FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES** — there is no elevator, and the stairs are narrow. There was a strong smell in the room, and there was no ventilation. On top of that, we were bitten by **BEDBUGS** at night — both my friends and I, even though we stayed in different rooms. We had to look for another hotel at one in the morning to move out, as we couldn't reach the hotel staff — the QR codes don’t work. The owner said he would refund the money, but he **DID NOT RETURN THE MONEY**.

Horrible hotel with only minuses: *Firstly, we have a huge number of bedbugs, which run right in the pillow, they are visually visible. On the first night I counted 8 pieces only in my pillow, my friend and I quickly jumped up and were afraid to go to bed at all, they were crawling everywhere!!! I was bitten by one of the bugs and an allergic reaction developed. On the first night we tried to contact the hotel representative, since there is no reception at all, but no one answered and at 04.00 in the morning we went with friends to another hotel. *Secondly, the photo does not correspond to reality at all: in fact, it is a dilapidated and shabby building, where everything is covered with boards. The stairs in the main hall creak loudly and are quite dangerous, especially for people with disabilities, although the websites state that the hotel is suitable for people with disabilities. As a person with a disability, I had to climb with great difficulty... *And finally: the hotel representative never returned the money! Although on the second to last day, he finally called us and only after we posted a review. This is the worst hotel I have ever seen! The photos are completely misleading! We checked into the hotel during the day, but when we returned from our walk and went to bed, bedbugs bit me, my wife, and our friends! My friends and I were in different rooms. There was also a strong unpleasant odor in the room, no air conditioning, just a window. The hall and kitchen were very dirty, and the room itself was dusty. There is no reception, so there was no one to turn to. We were forced to urgently find another place to stay because no one was willing to sleep with bedbugs. The hotel shows maximum disregard and disrespect towards its guests. The website also claimed that the place was suitable for people with disabilities, but that is not true. Our friend had to struggle up the stairs because the building has no elevator, and there is absolutely nothing provided for people with limited mobility! We wrote many emails, but we never received a refund. This place is horrible, and I strongly advise against visiting it.

Some good points and some not so good. Beautiful building and I liked the ‘shabby chic’ style of the room. The lack of reception was not a problem - we were able to access the hotel before check in. Good location 10 minutes walk to the centre of town. The price was good, bed large and comfortable, the room was very clean. Enjoyed the coffee pod machine but cartons of milk would be nice. The shower does pour water onto the floor but I placed a rolled up towel at the bottom so it was manageable. Lack of any space to hang clothes, coat or wet towels is an issue. Otherwise ok!

No on-site personnel. No elevator so 50 steps up with our panniers. No AC, no window screen and mosquitos when the only air was an open window. Non working fridge, no chair, no kettle and a shower that poured water onto the wooden floor outside.

Stay at good make a good experience good breakfast good staff nice building .near to the city center housekeeping are really good also hotel manager Mr Houssine he was help us to assist for city tour if you are stay in Mansion I really recommend.

We had bed bugs in our bed!!! We left immediately to another hotel and got our money back only 2 months later after having to call and email 20 times. Very bad communication and customer unfriendly! it was not clean in the hall, our feet stuck to the floor. TV did not work.

DIT IS GEEN HOTEL!!! Misschien kun je het een slaapplaats noemen, meer is het niet! Geen ontvangst? wel een schoonmaakster aanwezig die ons erop wees dat je een code moest hebben voor binnenkomst. Na wat heen en weer geappt eindelijk een code mogen ontvangen. Kom je binnen in een bouwval. Donker en weinig attractief! Slaapkamer viel gelukkig mee. redelijk schoon en goed bed. Beloofd ontbijt was er niet? Dit moest voor 10 uur ( in het weekend?) maar ja recensies wezen ns erop dat dit niet echt smakelijk was. Koffieappaat werkte niet en ontbijtzxaal was meer een donker verblijf met terras stoeltjes. Vlug wegwezewn hier!

We arrived here on the 8th October. having booked the duplex room. the ladder to the raised bed area had no handrail, and only part of the raised area had a barrier, which we did not feel was safe. The sofa bed and armchair in the lower area were stained. We stripped the bed and opened the sofa bed, intending to make that up to sleep on. The sofa bed was full of bed bugs, with blood stains visible on the mattress. We WhatsApped the manager who offered us a refund, but still want to charge us for the first night as they did't rebook the room that night. THEY WERE HAPPY TO IMMEDIATEDLY REBOOK THE ROOM KNOWING IT HAD BED BUGS. Luckily we didn't unpack our cases and managed to book into the Novotel instead, who were great.
