The White Bull

Stayed for a wedding, limited accommodation options in the area but well overpriced for poor accommodation! Very dated decor and facilities not worth the price. We stayed in the external rooms which were loud due to extraction fans and had poor blinds/curtains with a window that didn’t fully close, disappointing.

Fabulous place not the owners have changed Excellent food and excellent well kept real ales always 4 to choice from we are spoiled now in the village at last I’ve now become a regular happily again

Went to the White Bull for Sunday lunch with a friend whilst visiting the area and staying at Ribblesdale Park in one of the lodges. Very friendly and efficient service and the Sunday roast was excellent quality and beautifully served. Great ambiance with the open fire and the server was informative and helpful. Would highly recommend!

I booked onto one of the party nights in December for me and 6 friends back in August last year, paid our deposits and thought no more… then the week before I got a phone call to say the party night had been cancelled but we could still come down for a meal in the bar. This wasn’t what we wanted so I said no thank you, can we just have our money back. That was on 14th December I am still waiting for my money back… the customer service is shocking! I have telephoned several times to ask to speak to a manager and when I say who I am. Low and behold a manager isn’t available! They never ring me back, I’ve emailed again never no reply… so tried to make contact through Facebook they’ve now blocked me! I’m appalled.. it’s £70 for gods sake not going to break the bank for them! But it’s the principle now for me in that it’s my money and it’s theft!! They cancelled not me… so it’s not fair they should be holding onto our deposits! Don’t touch this place with a barge pole!!

Booked for the Sportsman Dinner, with Colin Hendry and decided to make a night of it. The 3 course meal was delicious, couple of options for all courses. The room we stayed in was very spacious with a lovely roll top bath. Delicious freshly cooked breakfast finished off our little stay, hopefully be back again soon

We stopped here for lunch because we have had a good experience at its sister pub, The Anchor at Salterforth. I ordered the £16 burger. It was rock hard and over cooked, the bacon was burnt and the chips grey and like cardboard. I complained that it was inedible. The dish was taken away and after about 30 mins I got another one exactly the same. It was like everything had been pre cooked and re heated. I did eat some of it, because I was hungry and we could not stop longer. we did get a small reduction on the bill. This is not a place we would return to - very disappointed.
