Premier Inn Glasgow (Cambuslang/M74, J2A)

Very clean, service was excellent. Staff are very friendly

Outside looked a little tired. Very pleasant helpful staff. Plenty of parking available. Good size accessible room with wet room, unfortunately the room was at the furthest part of the hotel from reception and was a hike for someone with limited mobility, good car park and restaurant in the attached pub.. It was well used by contractors due to its proximity to a good road network . Breakfast at the attached pub was excellent, plenty of choice of both cooked and continental food. On the 1st night we had our evening meal, a total letdown. I had cheesy potato dippers, I received a plate of warm chips with some spring onions and crumbled bacon with cheese on top. My partner who is vegetarian ordered garlic bread only to receive 2 small rounds of bread with little flavour (£4:29). When the waitress asked if all was well we told her we were shocked at what he had received, she apologised and brought a complimentary bowl of chips. I had the chicken and Ham pie which was quite nice but could have benefited from some gravy. Again my partner was disappointed there were no pizzas available which reduced his options, he settled on Thai vegetable curry which was as far from being Thai served with rice and a tiny portion of peas. A costly not very good meal overall.

Staff are really nice and friendly, we're great with our kids! Room was clean, but they tried to fit 5 of us in a room that was not really the right size and we were rather squashed, my mother entered up getting another room the next night. Beds were comfortable though. Staff made the visit! Look after them!

Reception staff grumpy on check in when i eventually found a receptionist, rooms clean & tidy, usual standard, TV's are tiny.

I have stayed in many Premier Inns but this was the worst. To start the outside of the restaurant looks not far off derelict. The hotel side there are stains on the carpets in the hallway, walls and skirting boards badly marked. In the room before I left I checked down side of bed in case anything had fallen down only to find a pair of socks that weren’t mine nestled in lots of dust as the bed clearly hadn’t been moved for a week or 3. Back to the restaurant, the carpet was disgustingly dirty, tables scabby and the ceilings looked like there had been heavy water damage and as for the food it was all really disappointingly poor. Only thing it has going for it is the staff were nice.

We choose this hotel as can get to and from motorway easily. Stayed here before so knew what to expect. Staff very nice room was comfortable and clean. Blackout curtains good.

The location was great for getting on to motorways and in to Glasgow. Second really run down premier inn we’ve stayed in now in Glasgow area. No cleaning of rooms at all (stayed 3 nights) and had to ask for fresh towels. Carpets in hallways disgusting and restaurant awful. Attitude of staff in both really poor with one exception in hotel who was very friendly. Won’t be back

Last minute booking and was charged £124…. After this experience I ought to get a refund of £123. Me and my partner coughed all night and couldn’t figure out reason why until we gave the room an inspection which should be done by staff not us..we found the netting on the window covered in mould and also found yellow and red stains..god knows where they came from!! Paint was chipped on radiator and had mould on wall in corner. In morning we headed to breakfast and was seated…40 mins later we were asked what hot food we wanted 20 mins later it came missing the bacon and hash browns… plates for the continental were rarely stocked up and I heard server tell people that had booked would have to wait 15 mins to be seated… this to be fair wasn’t their fault this is down to mismanagement having only 2 servers on I felt sorry for the 2 ladies. I regularly stay at premier inns and have stayed here before but next time I’ll be going back to the one in Livingston.
