Brilliant hotel which we would definitely use if/when we come to Glasgow again. Perfectly positioned for the Ovo Hydro, Kelvingrove Park and Museum and within easy and safe walking distance of the city centre and railway stations, this little hotel has fabulous staff and is clean and tidy. The cooked breakfast was the best we’ve had in a hotel and the room, whilst compact and a little aged, was perfectly adequate. Really good value and a great find.

As soon as we arrived Kevin the Hotel manager found us a room on the ground floor as I can't do many steps. You can see he loves his job. The room was cozy, the mattresses perfect, WIFI well working, a desk big enough for notebook and assessories, a comfortable chair. A comfortable shower, a big enough bathroom. The location next to Kelsingrove Park very suitable. Small restaurants with delicious food in walkable distance, secured carpark a 5 minutes walk away.

Great hotel, staff were excellent Kevin was very helpful when we checked in. room was spotless bed was amazing great location for local bars and restaurants really pleasant over night stay would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in this area.

Easy to get to from the East /Perth direction and was luck to get parking on street outside. Friendly greeting on arrival and rooms clean with nice views from window. We were in a rush to get on the move in the morning and had not taken the opportunity to try out the breakfast which looked well presented and extensive.

Very clean and a most welcoming hotel ideally situated to be close enough to walk into the city centre but be in a quiet area. The staff are most helpful and the breakfasts are excellent that set you up for the rest of the day. Returning in the evening to a well turned out cosy room is perfect after a good day in the city, we highly recommend the Acorn hotel and we shall return again soon.

Greet stay , clean rooms , adequate location . Kevin ( Manager & Chef) absolutely brilliant , top man . 5 star service provided , very helpful . Definitely recommend this hotel , will be booking again on my future visits to Glasgow. Nothing was too much for Kevin , very friendly , and his poached eggs , great art in cooking , superb .

Great position by the parks with super access to Kelvingrove museum and Botanic gardens. Small room but decent for a three star hotel. No air conditioning so a bit stuffy and the mattress was rock hard ( as a lot of hotels in the UK) with latex pillows, so sleeping was uncomfortable to say the least and we ended up aching all over most mornings. Breakfast was just ok for £10 cooked in a microwave oven (as far as we could tell)but the poached eggs were lovely being hand cooked. Next door was The Park cafe offering fantastic breakfasts for the same money (scrabbled egg, smoked salmon and sourdough toast for £9.50). Overall a nice stay but nothing to write home about.

Nice, quiet hotel in quiet neighborhood. Comfortable beds, clean, great breakfast. Perfect location for walking in the park. Good eating close by and short walk to busses and museums. A bit hot though, even with window open on a cool night.

I can't fault the Acorn hotel for cleanliness, food and facilities. Everything I needed was present. I found the location, next to a park, and out of the busyness of the city centre, particularly attractive. Staff were courteous and helpful and efficient. I would return there gladly.
