We did not stay at all and trip.con and the hotel refuse to refund d our money on genuine grounds will never use trip anymore

Location wise Glenrothes Holiday Inn is a bit further from Edinburgh city center and no amenities, unlike Dumferline Holiday Inn. But hospitality and service are more friendly. The available free coffee, hot chocolate and juice drinks is a plus. But hey, the price is much more affordable than others, it is a definitely permanent choice for my frequent Scotland business trips.

The receptionist is extremely friendly. Clean room, fresh linen and towels, available teas/coffee and decent breakfast. All you need for a quick getaway without any hassle.
They even provided disposable coffee cup thus you can take out hot drinks right after breakfast.
Thank you for the lovely and helpful staffs.

The hotel was clean, but I booked a double bed room to share with my sister on trip.com and when I paid and got a confirmation that it’s a double room it was not refundable . When I contacted the hotel they said that because they did not have twin rooms available it reverted the booking to double in the system. I contacted trip.con to cancel the booking they said that it was non refundable booking, I explained that it was their system that made the error and not me, the agent said I will contact the hotel and check if they can accept a refund, she got back saying that they have refused and trip.com could not help. I was furious and I had to go and sleep on the sofa bed and this was uncomfortable also the heating was doing some tapping sound as I am light sleeper I could not sleep properly at all.
