This is a spectacular mountain retreat. So many thoughtful touches like bath robes and the softest bath towels. It’s a very luxurious place to enjoy the beautiful scenery, and four deer walked right up to the porch when we checked in. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

Wonderful experience in Evergreen Colorado. Beautiful place to stay, quiet, close to several natural attractions, Red Rock, Flat Iron Mountains, Pikes Peak, Estes Park, RMNP, Boulder, Idaho Springs, Golden, Lookout Mountain, and many more. We lved coffee on the porch every morning watching the humming birds. Very clean, Wonderful owners. Hot tub in the evenings after a long day walking through the parks and towns. We can't wait to return!

Juniper hosted our 10 year anniversary where we renewed our vows and had friends and family surrounding us. They were excellent at coordinating vendors and making us feel welcome. The scenery is beautiful, the location is quiet and I can't imagine having such a successful event anywhere else.

Our second stay at the lovely Juniper Mountain House, a boutique mountain lodge in 10 acres of peaceful evergreen forests and just 25 minutes from Denver. The lodge has incredible views of the Indian Peaks especially from our room the Pine Suite. The super king size bed and pillows were top comfort, the room is large enough to spread out 2 large pieces of luggage, and the amenities are 5 star level. The robes/dressing gowns were very comfortable and warm. There's a well-kept and stylish common area with kitchen and complimentary coffee/tea, and a snug with a gas fireplace. This is an ideal place to stay if you're visiting Denver on business or pleasure, and want to experience the Rocky Mountains. Nearby Evergreen has great restaurants, shops and healthcare facilities all within 10 minutes drive. Idaho Springs, a real mountain mining town, is a mere 10-15 minutes drive and Loveland Ski Area just 35 minutes (unless the snow is flying). Recommend an AWD or 4WD in the winter months as the driveway entry is steep and north facing so the snow lingers. Just one thing to watch out for: the lodge is perched at 7,375 ft (2,250 meters) above sea level, so if you're coming from a low elevation, before staying here make sure you're first acclimated to the altitude (if you just flew in, a 1 night stay down in Denver can help that) and keep yourself well-hydrated, or you might experience altitude side effects such as insomnia or nosebleed.

If you’re looking for the perfect mountain getaway, Juniper Mountain House is it. My wife, our two shih tzus, and I stayed here recently, and we were blown away by everything. The property feels like a peaceful little oasis tucked into the Rockies, but it’s still close enough to Denver (just about 30 minutes!) to make it an easy trip. First off, the vibe of this place is spot on—cozy yet modern with a touch of Colorado rustic charm. Our room was super comfortable, with a memory foam bed that we sank right into after a day of exploring. They even had a gas fireplace in the room, which was such a nice touch for those chilly mountain evenings. And let’s talk about the views from the patio—absolutely stunning! One thing that really struck us was how private everything felt. Even though there were other guests staying while we were there, we rarely even crossed paths with them. The layout and atmosphere make it feel like you have the place almost entirely to yourself, like your own little mountain hideaway. Between the private hiking trails, the hot tub overlooking the stunning mountain views, and the outdoor fire pit, we could fully relax and enjoy the space as if it was our own. The amenities really made our stay. We took a stroll on their private hiking trails (our dogs were in heaven) and spent some time unwinding in the hot tub while soaking in those incredible mountain views. Later, we gathered by the outdoor fire pit with a glass of wine from their Honor Bar—it was such a relaxing evening under the stars. What really stood out was how thoughtful the whole experience felt. They provided plush robes, special towels for the hot tub, and even an in-room coffee and tea station. They clearly know how to make guests feel welcome and at home. Plus, Ashley and Alea (the owners) were so friendly and accommodating—they made us feel like old friends. If you’re in the area, whether for a romantic getaway, some time to recharge, or even just to get outdoors with your pups, I can’t recommend Juniper Mountain House enough. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back again and again.

Great couples weekend getaway in the mountains! Highly recommend boxelder room with the hot tub right outside the door. Super clean Host were amazing! Very friendly and accommodating. Historical Evergreen and the lake is about 15 mins down the road
