One week stay in July. The hotel is comprised of separate buildings of approx 10 rooms per building. The buildings are one a slope, in a tropical garden. The atmosphere is very relaxed and everywhere you go, there's something new to set your eyes on. The area is well maintained and the cleanliness was very good. Restaurant (buffet) was varied and quality was very good. Waiters, cleaning personnel and front desk staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The hotel has a lift down to the Laurel Beach Club (part of the hotel) and a short walk to the town (Playa Santiago). The black sand beach is nice if you want to play in the waves. Staying at Jardin Tecina also opens the entire island if La Gomera, which is a must see if you like scenery, hikes and nature in general. As we left early on the morning of departure, and the hotel prepared a lunch to go for each of us, containing a large salad, bacon/cheese wrap, water, juice and 3 items of fruit. As the hotel is essentially a large garden, the associated wildlife is to be expected. We found this to be the way it should be and not problematic at all.
