Castello di Granarola Relais - Adults Friendly -

Fantastic place with spacious rooms, incredible views, superb service and good food. We will return. You can have breakfast outdoors by the pool and enjoy looking out over the hills and to the sea. The rooms are very large.

We stayed 6 nights at this well-hidden magical place at the end of August. It is almost unthinkable how sophisticated and carefully but still effortlessly designed this Castellino is. The rooms are all unique, large and featured with all amenities (kitchen included) which makes your stay comfortable. The pool - with a breathtaking view of the Adriatic and the medieval Castello Gradara - is the center of Life here - and deservedly so: you start your day with a pool-side breakfast, continue with nicely prepared cocktails consumed on the sunbeds and of course indulging in the sun-heated pool itself. After having a short break in your nicely cooled room and dressed up smart-casual you can enjoy a delicious dinner cooked by Chef Andrea at one of the pool-side tables following the setting sun above the Sea. If you are curious enough, you can discover the secrets of the magical garden with its many hidden places. If you are lucky and spend a Thursday here you can attend the weekly Sundown party at the fabulous terraced garden just below the pool - the setting is something you can not imagine until you see it for yourself. You`ll not be bored even if the weather does not favour sunbathing - you can discover the beauties and historical places (like Urbino, Gradara )of both the Marche and Emilia-Romagna - or even San Marino - all in 40 kms distance) If you long to dive into the Sea there are many beaches nearby (eg Gabbice Mare), althoug those can be crowded during Summer peak. For shopping the best place is Pesaro (centro historico - only 15 min drive from the Castellino) with it`s many local designer shops and high fashion brand stores. For beach bags and accessories do not miss the Brandina brand store right in Piazzale Poppolo. Nothing is easier than dining out in one fo the many very good and very affordable restaurants - all within 5 min drive. The nearest one (Il Melograno with its heavenly home-made pastas) is literally at your doorstep. Finally I can`t miss out to mention the super-friendly and ever helpful hotel staff to whom we owe a big Thanks for not only making our stay wonderfully easy-going but making us always smiling. We just can not wait to return next Summer:)

Recently spent a weeks holiday with my son, daughter in law and grandson in the Artist’s Tower. Lovely setting and views and enjoyed our holiday. However, there were several points which I raised in an email addressed to the owner. Unfortunately, I have not received any response to my private feed back, hence my review. The grounds are not as pretty or kept to the standard shown on the website. No white drapes on the rusty swing seat and garden area looks unkept. There was no plug for the bath even though we repeatedly requested one. Perhaps this was not provided due to the condition of the bath. There is an overhead shower and circular curtain but trying to use the controls without water running down the back of the bath is impossible. We repeatedly reported that the toilet cistern kept running resulting in a waste of precious water.There were some tea bags (the only welcome items) but no coffee capsules and difficult to find which ones fitted the machine. Everything else in the fridge was chargeable including a bottle of chilled water. There is a dishwasher but don’t think there would have been enough crockery to fill it. The layout is not really suitable for the numbers it is advertised for. When the sofa bed in the lounge/dining/kitchen is open it leaves little room for a family of 4/5 and the mezzanine floor has a very large/wide floor beam which you have to clamber over to reach the bed. Added to the restricted headroom/beams makes having to use the bathroom downstairs during the night (or anytime) quite a challenge The staircase is not suitable for little ones .There is no hanging or storage facility at all on that level. No designated outside area with this accommodation although there was for others. Just a pity the owner didn’t respond directly and take on board the comments or at least acknowledged them.

It is a one a kind place Completely restored castle in the top of a hill. The views are magnificent. Great service with the minimum basics. The different suites are one of a kind. We didn’t had the breakfast but in the room there is a coffee machine.

Luogo incantevole, con una struttura con un enorme potenziale e degli scorci molto belli. L’accoglienza del personale e’ stata molto molto buona ma quando poi si entra nella camera siamo molto lontani da un hotel a 5 stelle. La categorizzazione su Google è di un hotel a 5 stelle ma in camera non c’erano ciabatte e accappatoi ne’ kit di cortesia. La gentile persona addetta al chek in ci ha portato tutto, specificando però che non era un servizio incluso. Invece credo che sia incluso in un 5 stelle. La camera meridiana non brilla per pulizia, come si può vedere dalla polvere sopra il bollitore e dalle rubinetterie, ma soprattutto il bagno e’ davvero spoglio. La doccia molto molto piccola. La mancanza della tv è una scelta che non apprezzo ma soprattutto nella camera non c’era nemmeno uno specchio (che il personale ci ha gentilmente portato) ma ci e’ stato detto che per scelta dell’artista, come per la tv, nella camera non ci sono specchi. Tranne uno minuscolo nel bagno di cui allego foto. Spazi comuni come la sala della lettura e la sala della colazione freddini. Una nota di merito al personale davvero gentile e pronto a soddisfare qualsiasi necessità. In conclusione struttura dal potenziale immenso ma molto molto lontana da un 5 stelle.

Un luogo magico . Meraviglioso castello completamente ristrutturato e arredato con maestria e originalità, che domina le colline circostanti. Gli ambienti sono tutti unici e originali, a comporre un mosaico di esperienze diverse , tutte egualmente intense. Stupenda l’ampia suite Meridiana con terrazza solarium / barbecue all’apice del castello, luminosa, dotata di ogni comfort fra cui un’attrezzata cucina, riscaldamento a pavimento , accessori personalizzati con il logo del castello. Dalla terrazza si gode di una vista spettacolare sui colli circostanti , dall’alba al tramonto Nel percorrere il sentiero del giardino si ammirano la piscina con vista sui colli , arredi studiati in armonia con l’ambiente , numerose tinozze per il bagno. Speciale la sauna a botte con una vetrata e vista unica , da riservare per uso esclusivo e per godersi appieno il relax . Ottima, variegata e curatissima la colazione servita nella veranda con vista sulla piscina e sulla vallata. Tutto il personale gentilissimo e disponibilissimo a soddisfare ogni esigenza , ti fanno sentire i signori del castello. Esperienza di relax unica e davvero speciale
