Super 8 by Wyndham Appleton

We had 2 rooms, just not happy overall on either. Pros =Location to airport-awesome. Cons= top blanket had obvious resent stain on it, so wasn't washed. Room needed a real clean, not just a 2 minute job. It was a bit gross honestly. Internet ******, kept saying it couldn't connect or kicking us off after just a few minutes. Front clerk seemed annoyed more than helpful. I'll look for similar location next time, but not going back to this hotel.

Check-in was fast and good. Then it went downhill. Room was smelly. Very sketchy area. The pillows were tiny and insufficient. The next morning I tried to get more pillows. First stopped to talk to housekeeping staff but they didn't speak a word of English so that failed. Then went to front desk, explained we needed more pillows and the manager promised to have housekeeping put more in the room. When we returned that night there were no extra pillows. I went to front desk then and the girl there said that they had no more pillows and it would take 2-3 days to get some but we were only there for two nights. Also, housekeeping did not make up our room so we had no coffee the second morning. Second night people in another room were fighting and screaming at 4:00 in the morning. Overall, a horrible experience.

You got a different weird smell every 50 ft down the hall way. Felt unsafe. It’s not worth trying to save a few bucks to stay here. Room had a funky smell to it. (Like a bag of chips) walls were warped in the bathroom. Did not enjoy. Will not be back.

I used to stay at Super 8 Motels throughout the midwest for work. You could always count on them. Clean, reasonable, etc. The continental breakfast was the thing that got me most. A gallon of milk, a container of Sunny Delight, waffle machine and toaster. Was just expecting a bit more.

It was close to the highway and the venue that I was attending. And a good price.

Spotty Wifi and Tepid Showers Room was clean and location was great. That's where the positived end. Unfortunately, only my cell phone could connect to the wifi in the hotel; my husband's phone, his tablet, and my Nintendo Switch couldn't, no matter what we tried. Eventually, even my phone couldn't connect and we had to use our data. That would be forgivable, except the hot water in the bathtub did not heat up. If the hot water was running at the sink, it heated up beautifully, but it struggled to get to lukewarm while I showered. That's something I can't let go, so I don't recommend staying here. It does not help matters that while flushing our toilet, the handle threw off the chain and I had to reach into the tank to reconnect it. No, I don't recommend staying here. The negatives outweigh the positives.
