Archway House

Great guesthouse in a very convenient location in the town centre. Nicely decorated rooms and comfortable beds. I was pleasantly surprised as it was one of the cheapest places in Grantham I didn't know what to expect. My room was nicely fitted out with a hairdryer, iron and ironing boards, nice coffee tray and a TV with Netflix, so I could continue binging on my favourite TV series. I will definitely will stay here again when in town.

My visit was brief but delightful. The check-in process was welcoming and quick. The staff member at reception was friendly and within moments, I was heading to my room. The massive bed was comfortable, clean and spotless (and I always check it thoroughly before going to sleep, I love smell of fresh linens). Complementary tee, coffe and biscuits were also available not mentioning clean towels and good quality toiletries. Everything was perfect.

This is a cosy place to stay when away from home. I’ve stayed here a few times but twice I have stayed in room 4. This is a noisy room that fronts onto the street with single glazing. The church bells are lovely but disruptive for sleep. Something that would make a big difference in this room is a blackout blind or blackout curtains. There is a street light outside the window that shines in making it hard to sleep. I think the fact that it isn’t staffed 24/7 keeps the costs down, but it also means you often don’t see anyone when you leave. So providing guests with a way of giving feedback with key return would be a good idea.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 1-night stay. This was our first trip with our 4-month old, staying over whilst visiting family nearby. Marius was warm and welcoming upon arrival. When we had an issue with the TV in the room it was no problem at all to get it swapped with another. The room was warm and inviting with dècor that suits the property. Clean and comfortable beds, with all the linen, towels and toiletries you may need. We stayed in a family/triple room, which was separate from the main building. This actually eased my anxieties over any noise we may have made overnight with a teething baby as I didn't want to disturb anybody else. We didn't opt for breakfast at the sister hotel The Angel & Royal, as we had other plans. The information in the room is very helpful, with local restaurant recommendations and anything else you may need to know during your stay. All in all, a restful night and we will definitely be returning when visiting Grantham again.

Absolutely perfect place for a stopover or a short visit to Grantham. We loved the quirky accommodation and the location in the heart of Grantham, just 1 minute walk from St Wulfram's. Big TV, comfy bed, tea/coffee, iron and ironing board in the room, spotlessly clean. highly recommended.

Archway House is a Georgian Town house in a quiet part of Grantham. My room was very comfortable and well appointed, and overlooked the large well-kept garden. The house has a very quaint charming character and would make a perfect base for anyone staying in the area. Breakfast is provided at a nearby restaurant.
