BE WARNED! I stayed at Jessamine House 9 years ago when it was owned by Alan and his service and rooms were excellent. I booked it again hoping that he would still be there (as the website and Facebook page had not changed) and arrived to find a new owner. The property is run-down and not how it used to be and I also discovered they do not serve breakfast. When I arrived I could smell cigarette smoke and during the night, so I assume the owner lets people smoke within the property. I left after one night and stayed elsewhere. This page and website have not been changed from when the last owner had it and they offer services that are no longer relevant. I doubt I will receive a refund for the 5 nights that I did not stay, I am disgusted!

Needed a cheap room as attending a gig at Leo’s. Room clean and tidy. Comfy bed. Nice bathroom with large shower. No frills. 12 mins walk from venue which was extremely handy. Cheap as chips. We Could ask for no more and would gladly stop again.

Clean room, comfy bed friendly staff but no breakfast offered as stated and no hot shower, the owner did say she had turned the boiler up, but after that did not come to check or offer any other help, sent me bk up several fights of stairs to keep checking things and going bk down to tell her, but still resulted in cold showers .Was in quiet location and had free parking onsite which was a bonus as had bikes with us ready for racing

Cheap budget hotel. Limited parking. Rooms ok. Bed hard. Noise from busy road. A basic hotel that needs a makeover. No breakfast served. Just wanted a cheap place for the night. Paid about 50 quid. I will use the hotel as a last resort. If all else fails in the area especially my usual hotels. Worth 3/5. No more sadly. Good CCTV in every corner of the hotel. Gladly not in the rooms.

Due to the 2 negative comments I've had to leave a review, Ive stayed multiple times with my girlfriend and the host is absolutely lovely and goes above and beyond for you, If you order takeaway and their too lazy too call you to say they're outside she will take it and bring it too your room, Always makes you feel welcome, Beds are always made and spotless clean, bathroom/shower are always spotless clean, The bathrooms are exceptionally modern and stylish, the showers are lovely and able to change the water flow from rainfall to waterfall, Beds are really comfy, More than enough storage spaces within the room, Rooms are very cozy especially if your with your partner had some really lovely nights here as the room gives cosy cottage vibes, And you really can't go wrong with the prices either considering the competition in the town this place definitely comes out on top for value, Cleaniness and all round satisfaction, Me and my girlfriend will definitely be staying here again,

So disappointed after reading reviews the room was stuffy dirty noisy curtains falling off garden which could be nice was un kept and although staff 1 lady was polite she appeared stressed I thought rate was quite cheap till I looked on line and cheaper Dont have all these different rates take off photos of breakfast where you dont offer service Wont be returning
