Only had a one night stay here but will definitely return. Received a warm welcome and enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea served in the beautiful lounge with a stunning fireplace. Bedroom spotless, comfortable & so quiet, I had the best night’s sleep in years. Lovely breakfast the next morning too. Staff are so friendly & attentive. Special mention for Ellie who is a credit to your establishment. Location is a short walking distance to town centre with plenty of shops & cafes. Looking forward to returning in the summer.

This little gem definitely needs to be acknowledged and praised. The surroundings are lush and very well kept. The staff seem so happy and very obliging. The food was a taste sensation. To top it off the room was spotless and we both had the best night sleep. We will return.

Absolutely amazing hotel and restaurant that I will recommend to all my friends and family. The hospitality I experienced at the Cotford hotel was absolutely amazing, the fantastic owners Barbara and Chris go above and beyond to make sure all there guests are made to feel welcome and looked after. The food is breath taking, it is a standard you rarely see these days and couldn’t have been happier. Thank you.

Absolutely stunning hotel, great staff, we felt like one of their family. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Beautiful surroundings. The restaurant food was also absolutely delicious and phenomenal presentation, the guys really care about what they do, nothing was too much trouble. Can’t wait to return. Thanks Barbs & Chris.

Stayed here overnight for dinner with breakfast as a birthday treat. Staff were fantastic very welcoming and friendly. Lovely well appointed room with fantastic view's. Dinner was amazing, beautiful well presented food, very tasty, great wine list. Waiting staff were great, knowledgeable and friendly. Drinks and coffee in the lounge after dinner by the fire was the icing on the cake.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay, with a delicious Christmas dinner at this amazing hotel and restaurant. Everyone is super friendly, from the moment you arrive. Our room was ready early and everything was super clean and comfortable. The abundant Christmas decorations were beautiful - they make such a huge effort to decorate the place. We had a very nice evening with drinks in the lounge before dinner. All of the food was out of this world - so tasty and with great service. Many thanks to Barbara, Chris, Ellie and all the other staff for giving us a perfect Christmas break.

This family run hotel is wonderful!!!! If you visit this area it’s the place to stay! Take my word for it! Wonderful food, wonderful rooms wonderful staff. It’s worth the money and I will stay again. Five stars !. The least said indicates my appreciation for this wonderful high end hotel. Please note that their restaurant is constantly booked out due to the quality of their food! So book early!

I'm a bit late to post this review but better late than never. This hotel is superb and fully merits my 5 star rating. Beautiful decor, clean with hugely helpful and friendly staff. Such a shame that we could not be there for an evening meal, however our Sunday lunch was of a very high standard. Michelin star level cuisine at reasonable prices. We'll be back!

Sadly, had to return to a town I know very well to bid farewell to a colleague. Stayed at the Cotsford and was very impressed. Spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated, friendly and helpful staff, very comfortable room and a delicious breakfast. What more can one ask? Would highly recommend this hotel as an excellent stay, if only more estblishments around the country were of this standard.
