What a wonderful place to stay. Great location, close to the town of Hermanus, great view of the ocean, wonderful walking paths and great cycling. He place is beautiful with nice spacious rooms and nice gathering areas where you can read, relax and meet the other guests. The breakfasts are provided, and they are not your ordinary breakfasts. They are hot, freshly cooked and rotate, so you have a variety if you stay for multiple days. The best part of staying here is definitely the hosts. They are warm, kind, attentive to all your needs.

The towels are extremely hard! Not possible to use them, neither would I use them even to dry of my vehicle after a wash! This could be due to the fact that the towels are hanged outside to dry, as confirmed by the staff assisting for housekeeping that causes them to become extremely hard and impossible to use!

We loved our stay at 138 Marine Guesthouse this April! We had a wonderful view from our bedroom, and the direct access to the ocean was nice. Especially the long walks and runs we could do. The entire lady staff was very helpful with all our requests, and their suggestions were to go and eat were spot on.

138 Marine Drive was truly a luxury experience. The hosting was way above and beyond what we expected for a guest house. The food was amazing, the rooms delightful, location perfect but Jena and her team went so far it’s impossible to say in the short review space. From recommendations of local attractions to making us feel like family. Outstanding +

Room was pretty noisy due to high waves at shore. Great breakfast and friendly staff. There is no garden at this location . P is safe.

This was our third visit to 138 Marine. Such a lovely welcome and so much help from the staff. A place to relax and catch your breath. Magnificent views superb breakfast. I just can’t compliment them enough

We received a very warm welcome from Sabine and Merryl who really cared and gave us valuable advice which places to visit. We especially appreciated the lounge with coffee making facilities and a superb view on the sea and rocks. This definitely is a place to recommend with strong conviction.
