We had two rooms, the one room was in horrible condition, not clean, holes in the couch, lightbulbs out etc. Upon returning very late from a concert, this room had a cockroach crawl out of the pillowcase! When we approached the front desk, the only employee was the laundry guy, who really had no authority to do anything. We packed up both rooms and moved to the Sleep Inn. When we approached the manager the next morning regarding a refund he said he could only refund one room because only one had cockroaches.. this was before we showed him pictures or mentioned the bugs. They knew this room was infested. We were traveling with 4 teenagers, we certainly weren't going to send them to a different hotel without us, plus if one room is infested, more rooms are. The 2nd room which was in marginally better condition was only a few doors down from the infested room. We are now having to argue with corporate for a full refund of the 2nd room.
