Albergo Del Chianti

We only stayed here one night and wished we had longer here. The hotel is right on the main square where there is a market on Saturday. The staff were helpful and friendly. Our room was smallish but clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast buffet was good. There was a great looking swimming pool but we didn't have time to use it. Greve in Chianti was a pleasant change after Florence - relatively few tourists but a good selection of shops and restaurants.

A small hotel set on the edge of a glorious square with a number of restaurants. The hotel has a good sized pool and very pleasant seating area. The rooms are clean and the breakfast buffet was good. Most notably of all the staff were excellent. So helpful and happy and made our stay very enjoyable. Thank you.

This was our first time in Chianti and we loved this hotel. The staff was wonderful, friendly, and accommodating. The restaurants in the area were fabulous. If we’re in the area again, we’ll definitely stay here! Thank you for your hospitality.!

We have had the pleasure of staying at Albergo del Chianti several times over the years. The recent 100 % purchase of the property by the Belgian “Buys” family (a family who previously vacationed at the hotel and own a significant winery in the area) has enhanced the property while maintaining the personal warmth and elegant comfort of the place that it had been known for. Indeed, the young couple managing the hotel (daughter and son-in-law of the owner) go out-of-their-way to make all guests feel so very welcome. The Albergo no longer has an on-site restaurant (they do need to update the website), but the many fine restaurants in the area do not leave you short of options (try La Cantina around the corner and down the street!) The Saturday market - held literally out the front door of the hotel - is a fun way to spend a “down day”, and you can finish with a dip in the beautiful swimming pool in the very private grassy courtyard behind the hotel. (Do NOT park on the top floor of the elevated parking lot down the street on Saturday/market day, as they will tow your car!……that’s another story for another day) Can’t wait to return!

Nous avions réservé deux nuits et avons écourté notre séjour, hôtel vieillot qui donne une impression de saleté, chambre à la literie affreuse plus moyen de dormir après 6h tellement j’avais mal au dos, douche minuscule, petit déjeuner médiocre jus artificiels, piscine délabrée sale et fermée car orage pendant une heure, incapable de nettoyer ensuite du coup pas possible de s’y baigner, personnel pas sympa, fade? D’ailleurs pas demandé comment s’est passé notre séjour. J’ai annulé une nuit la veille bien entendu on n’a pas voulu me rembourser mais on m’a fait grave de 3 eur de frais de séjour j’aurais encore dû les remercier, un conseil fuyez !!!!

Hotel deludente... Siamo arrivati alle 17 la ragazza della reception ci ha comunicato che la piscina era chiusa quando doveva chiudere alle 19 come previsto praticamente non abbiamo usufruito del servizio pagato Stanza orrenda . La porta della stanza coperta per un quarto dalla porta tagliafuoco dell' ascensore praticamente apri la porta e per passare devi evitare di prendere in faccia quella dell ascensore bloccata davanti . arredamento vecchio materasso scomodo ti allunghi e sprofondi al piano di sotto. Appena entrati il cestino del bagno non era stato svuotato dai rifiuti dei precedenti inquilini mancava l asciugamano da bidè ..l aria condizionata fa un rumore talmente forte che abbiamo dovuto spegnerla durante la notte . Colazione buona Costo 140 euro ..basiti Sconsigliato
