Hôtel Alpina - Swiss Ski & Bike Lodge Grimentz

An excellent value hotel - comfortable room (great shower), and spa facilities (jacuzzi, sauna, steam room etc) available for guests for free. A really excellent breakfast included, and very good restaurant attached. The management are super friendly and helpful - we stayed 2 nights, separated by a week in which we went off ski touring and they kept our stuff for us no problem.

2nd year staying in this hotel and really no complaints. Thanks to the boss who parked my car in that impossible garage, and the fact I could leave it until the evening I checked out. Greatly appreciated. The restaurant would have been excellent but for the fact that although I was a guest of the hotel and I booked for 7pm for 15 people and we were the first in the restaurant, we were the last to get served. We were given the wine list first, a mistake, then had to ask for the menu. Waited 1 1/2 hours for the food, which was a bit trying with 8 small children. They behaved themselves enormously though, and the food was excellent. Thoroughly recommend it, just don’t get the wine card first! Will be going back next year. My 36th year in Grimentz!

This hotel is made of pinewood so you see lots of wood here. The hotel is within walking distance from the bus stop and to Coop Supermarket. The room has a comfort bed and bathroom but without electric kettle and coffee making facilities. Beautifil views here and I love the breakfast, very good. I find it funny about the room key which is attached to a heavy weight key chain like half a kg. You rather hand at the lobby than to carry around

Stayed again recently with family and a dog. Really get experience with helpful staff, great location and comfy rooms. Breakfast is plentiful and although the restaurant menu was a little light in kid friendly options for dinner, it was very tasty. Already planning a return next year!

8 of us stayed at the hotel this passed weekend for our second visit. Again the staff were welcoming and helpful. They allow you to leave bags before checking in/after checking out which is useful to hit the slopes. The rooms are great, as is the spa and the hotel restaurant. And all at the foot of the gondola, access to the slopes couldn't be easier. It's becoming an annual stay and we will definitely visit again next spring.

Hotel Alpina is located directly across from the Grimentz gondola, on the main street. The hotel has its own underground parking. In the summer season I was able to park on the street outside, in winter this is forbidden. The room was a triple, two single beds side by side and a sofa bed, very spacious and clean and tidy, with a small balcony looking out over the street. The bathroom had a tub and a shower, but the tub was missing the plug, so I couldn't use it. The hotel has reliable wifi and a spa, which is available on prior booking between 10am and 7pm, which I didn't use. Breakfast is a buffet, a good selection of pastries, bread and cereal. The coffee machine is slow and quite erratic, and I would recommend the hotel to invest in a second one to reduce the waiting time for coffee. The restaurant also serves lunch and dinner and the pizzas are delicious!
