Neeld Arms

We had a lovely meal here. The pub is a beautiful building in the pretty Cotswold village of Grittleton. Staff were warm and welcoming. We had very nice food, nice drinks. The pub offers good service and overall had a very nice evening at the Neeld Arms

We stayed one night and wished we could have stayed longer! Warm welcome, wonderfully comfortable bed and dinner was really very good indeed. Amelia was very cheerfully attentive but not “in our faces” Jenna (hope that’s right) was delightful and also attentive. Breakfast poached eggs were probably the best I’ve had, and the coffee was great. We would like to have had some fresh fruit at breakfast (beyond an apple or orange) but it really didn’t matter. Compliments to the owners, this business has everything it needs to do really (really) well. We’ll try and find an excuse to return!

We had a truly wonderful experience at The Neeld Arms. Mark, the proprietor, was incredibly courteous and an outstanding host throughout our stay. From the moment we arrived, he made sure every detail was taken care of. Dinner was exceptional. We had a delicious chicken burger and a perfectly cooked fish and chips, both served hot and fresh. There was also plenty of fresh bread and butter on the table, which we really appreciated. Everything was full of flavour and clearly made with quality ingredients. The drinks selection was excellent and paired well with the meal. The rooms were tastefully decorated, extremely comfortable, and perfect for a restful night. Breakfast the next morning was just as impressive. What stood out most was Mark’s attentiveness. He was always on hand, anticipating and meeting every request with warmth and care. We genuinely cannot stress enough how much fun and relaxation we had. A fantastic place and highly recommended.

Staying for Badminton Horse Trials as usual for the past 16 years on and off, what a welcome return to my 2nd home the rooms have had a makeover and all new friendly staff who couldn't be more helpful always managed to find me a table for an evening meal even at the busiest of times, a select menu all freshly cooked and good portion size. Would recommend a stay here anytime but not during Badminton Week you won't get a room I book year on year so see you all in 2026 Many Thanks

My wife and I booked lunch for 2. We were very warmly welcomed by Amelia who took our orders and served us. The food was good and reasonably priced. The pub has real old world charm and it was nice to relax in the peaceful setting. Would certainly visit again when we are in the area.

Thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at The Neeld Arms. An easy (and beautiful!) drive from Bath, the location is lovely, nestled in the heart of a peaceful Cotswold village. The staff was warm and welcoming, the pub had a friendly atmopshere and the room was spacious, charming and fresh. Had a delightful breakfast the next morning. Food was great and service both efficient and kind. Our innkeepers also provided great advice on the area that enhanced our visit to this beautiful part of the country. Highly recommend!!!
