It was a very great experience. The place was clean and there was no hassle. The AC worked so well that it was too cold at times. Castro is the best host I have encountered in a while. Although it is close to the road you were not disturbed by traffic. Towels were replaced daily and the room refreshed

I spent 3 nights at the property earlier this year. Mr Castro, the proprietor was welcoming and helpful. Room was comfortable, complete with kitchen and balcony. It might be a little far from the beach for some people's liking. Quite close to the junction with the main road. There was quite a lot of noise from the traffic. There was one major negative during my stay. A period of 24 hours where the shower did not work. There was no pressure. I was given a bucket to wash with. A trickle of water came from the sink tap. For some of this time I was also unable to flush the toilet. The most annoying thing about this was that I informed them of the problem in the morning but when I returned in the evening no action had been taken 'It was too late for someone to go up on the roof and fix the problem'. This is most likely not the norm but it was my experience. With the benefit of hindsight I'd probably have skipped Gros Islet. This is where most of the package tourists go. There's a long line of resorts taking up the best stretch of beach. Soufriere in the south is a much nicer spot.

A lovely place to be. Castro and his wife are nice hosts We got fresh fruits everyday. We get a turnover everyday. I felt safe and comfortable. I will definitely return. The location is close to everything.
