Yishang Hotel (Guangzhou South Railway Station) recensioner

Cleanliness: The room was clean. But our window has graffiti on the outside and the room smelt very bad. Bathroom: The toilet smelt HORRIBLE. The drain smell needs fixing. The rest of the bathroom was good. WiFi: Very good WiFi. Bed: Comfortable and clean. Amenities/surrounding area: Close to Guangzhou South Railway Station, 16 minute walk. Not much else around the hotel but good for one night. Staff/service: The staff were nice. They provided a free shuttle bus to the railway station. Laundry: Wash and dry laundry facilities free of charge on the 4th floor. Space: Spacious room for two people. Noise: Not very well noise insulated rooms, we could hear people next door and in the hallway. Would I recommend? It was okay for one night, but I wouldn’t want to stay any longer due to the drainage smell in the bathroom.

Shuttle bus to railway makes it very convenient

The stay experience was great! The room was clean, tidy and spacious, and the bed was super comfortable, allowing people to sleep well all night. The hotel staff was also very warm and thoughtful, the facilities were very complete, and the location was very convenient. I will come again next time, and I highly recommend it to everyone.

The location is good near to the train station👍🏻 but the cleanliness need to be improve☹️

Very convenient hotel if you need to take early train in the morning from high speed railway southern station. Hotel will provide free shuttle as well. Front counter girls are very polite and helpful. Thank you girls for hardworking.

If you don’t like the smell of cigarettes, you should leave. Even if you choose a non-smoking room, there will still be a cigarette smell. At first, when I entered the room, the cigarette smell was very strong, so the hotel changed my room. But at night, while I was sleeping, the cigarette smell became very strong again, seemingly coming from the air vents periodically. It was impossible to avoid.

Location: close to the South station, but not very accessible by public transport. We took a DiDi (taxi) from the station and arrived at the hotel under 10 min. The taxi price was quite cheap - 20 HKD. Room: clean, big enough, big TV - only in Chinese. The bathroom was also clean and spacious, here and there you could see some broken parts. Hotel: clean, laundry service, 2x free water bottles. Provided breakfast to go. Staff doesn’t speak English.

Its a good hotel. There are restaurants outside the hotel and convenience store. The hotel also offers free shuttle going to guangzhou south railway station,l. I dont remember booking with free breakfast but they gave me a paper bag with food and mill. Its a very good hotel!!

The hotel is exceptionally clean and well-maintained, with a courteous staff that communicates effectively in English. They offer complimentary breakfast and even provide a free shuttle service to the railway station, which is a thoughtful touch. In terms of location, while the hotel is situated about a 20-minute walk from the subway or train station, it is nestled in a quiet village setting. However, due to the tranquil nature of the surroundings, there may be limited activities or attractions within immediate reach.

The location is a bit off the central area and it is hard for drivers to find the place. But what I like is that  while there is no breakfast provided, there is an area for you to sit and have breakfast. So you can order takeout and sit there to enjoy it. The rooms are also automated which is very cool. The rooms are also quite clean but the amenities are basic.

I had a wonderful stay at Yishang Hotel. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and offered excellent value for money. The staff were friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with any requests. One of the standout features was the free train station transfer service, which made my travel incredibly convenient. The shuttle was punctual and well-organized, saving me both time and effort. The room was spacious and well-equipped, with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The on-site dining options were also great, offering a good variety of dishes. Overall, I had a great experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a hassle-free stay, especially with the added benefit of the complimentary train station transfer.

Hotel was on a good location, but still about 15 to 20 minutes walk from Guangzhou south railway station. Room was clean and modern, no view through the windows though. There is a shuttle service but we were not able to use it during the arrival, we tried to call but it was in Chinese only. For the departure we used the shuttle which was very convenient. We got a breakfast bag with at checkout, nice service!
