Guangzhou Marriott Hotel Baiyun

The hotel lobby looks amazing with high ceiling and nice decorations. However, the room we stay in was rather disappointing. The cupboard had a musky smell and there were water stains/marks that cannot be removed on our table as well as stains on our couch. The pillows also had a weird smell despite asking for new pillows.  The grouting for the toilet were yellow also making it a slightly unpleasant considering the effort placed for the hotel lobby. That being said, the amenities like the gym and swimming pool was great. Hotel breakfast was not too bad also with slight variation everyday.

A amazing 5-star experience, pretty awesome outstanding room service. The hospitality at Marriott truly exceeded my expectations. In conclusion, MIND-BLOWING!!! Can’t wait for the next time

Very nice hotel with fair price... Highly recommend to family traveller. Not really far from yuexiu district, about 15min drive. Very peaceful area, 3 drive to Wanda shopping mall. Less busy area. Would stay here again

We was expecting better but the stay fell short from our expectations given the good ratings. The check in speed was very slow compare to other hotels. The staff was processing guest check in asap but the queue and time required feels very slow. The worst was the breakfast arrangement. We were seated in the access hallways with temporary tables and very dirty chairs. I don’t know if they expect us to sit in soiled chairs or what. The area lacked air conditioning as well. Understand that they are at capacity when the hotel is busy, but they could try to clean tables faster or improve the queuing system. Anyhow, I like that the hotel is quite new and rooms are comfortable. Its location is convenient for my planned iternary. Hope they can improve on the efficient and capacity to cater for the amount of guests and people flow.

Hotel design is very classy and encompasses Chinese architectural design, with large spaces and beautiful gardens. Room is spacious, bed comfortable enough, no high buildings blocking view from window. Nearby is Capitaland mall with lots of F&B, and just outside hotel is subway station, very convenient. Breakfast is a good spread but disappointed that there are no real fruit juices, failing a 5 star standard. Appreciate that hotel allowed early check-in. Housekeeping was reasonably good. However, service at breakfast wasn't good, didn't guide us to our table, didn't ask if we wanted coffee, wasn't warm and helpful. Upon check-in, no chocolate or fruits to welcome us. Neithe warm on checkout. Security not tight, anybody can walj in. Nonetheless, overall experience was good.

Overall the service is fine Newly built hotel with huge area. Cleanliness - sometimes house keeping ladies did not clea n the cup / glasses which we have to reminded them. Positive sign is hotel offers robotic delivery and kids club which is very convenient and suitable for kids.

Terrible rooms with smoke smell and poor air conditioning ventilation! We had to wait 50minutes standing in the lobby to change 3 rooms to get a smoke-free room, of which the Aircon was not working well in the last room! The service follow up was a plate of poor-looking fruits, very dismal service and rooms from Marriott - such a disappointment! Do yourself a favour and avoid this hotel unless you love inhaling smoke with poor air-conditioning, in a hotel that clearly stated non-smoking rooms policy!
