Yizhi Hotel (Chenjiaci Subway Station Branch, Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street, Guangzhou) recensioner

A very clean and modern hotel. The rooms are smart/AI control enabled. I know some mandarin so it was very fun telling “xiao du xiao du” to turn off the light, close the curtains, adjust the light, turn on the tv, etc. The rooms are equipped with warm toilet seats (very similar to Japanese ToTo toilets). The cleaning ladies does an awesome job. They even mop the floors. I went to Chongqing and Chengdu the hotels I went to didn’t always clean your floors. Breakfast is pretty good I found some treats/dim sum I really like. They have 2 different congees, large platters of FRESH vegetables, corn and sweet potatoes, sautéed vegetables meat dishes, on demand bowls of noodles, different steam buns, a fresh fruit fridge. The location is ideal too close to Chen Family Ancestral hall (more beautiful than all the pictures I saw amazing porcelain works and carving), 1 or 2 subway stops to ShangXiaJiu pedestrian street, Sacred Heart Cathedral, Shamian. Yongqingfang is also close. The Cantonese Opera Museum was there. I believe it’s the old stage converted to a museum it’s absolutely stunning and I was very lucky to see the last show on the schedule which was also the last show of the day. Food is amazing. There’s food everywhere. If you want to eat all the Cantonese food in the world it’s here. You’ll eat dimsum you’ve never tried before here. If you don’t want to eat Cantonese food and want to go to western food franchise, KFC, Domino’s, McDonald’s you can try the Asian influenced menus at these locations. Absolutely unique and delicious. If you want to try traditional bakeries and restaurants that have 100+ years of history, you’ll find them here. If you want to shop for clothing, tea, dry goods, shoes, porcelain, cooperware you’ll also find them here. This hotel is an ideal location for Guangzhou.

This was our first time visiting Guangzhou, and we’re so glad we chose this hotel! Its location is unbeatable—right on the famous Beijing Pedestrian Street, with a 7-Eleven next door and tons of restaurants and shops nearby. Taotaoju, a popular local eatery, is just across the street—super convenient! We also loved that the Chen Clan Academy is only a short 3-minute walk away. Our room was spacious, clean, and well-organized. The bathroom door was a bit unusual in design, but nothing too troublesome. The air conditioning worked perfectly—nice and cold! Best of all, there was no trace of smoke smell during our stay, which we really appreciated. Breakfast was served buffet-style on the third floor, and the variety was great! The menu changed a little every day, offering noodles, Chinese dishes, salads, bread, coffee, and fruit juice. One suggestion would be to have the catering staff speak a bit of basic English—it would really help international guests when asking for things like sauces, salt, or sugar. The reception team was welcoming and always ready to help. They even provided complimentary snacks, earplugs, and other useful amenities. We were also able to leave our luggage after checkout, which made things super convenient. Overall, we’d give this place a 5/5! We’ll definitely be back. Oh—and a little tip! Don’t miss the BBQ spot on the small street next to the hotel. It’s absolutely delicious!

Excellent location. Very near MRT station. A lot of good eateries. Aeon is opening. There were at least 5 dim sum place to eat. Other smaller food stalls serve good food.

Excellent staff and good view of the city. It is close to the Train station and other shopping streets

The lift was under maintenance. Quite inconvenient to walk upstairs. The breakfast was so so. Don't have much expectation.

Good location, close to metro with many eateries around. Unfortunately, the elevator was under maintenance & we had to walk to our room on 5th floor. Overall we are satisfied with our stay.

Enjoyed my stay even if the lift was broken till end of the month! They will help to bring up your luggage but you will have to take the stairs to go up!

Nice place, near public transport. Reception very hellful and friendly. People smoking everywhere even inside hotel lift and corridor, midnight sleeping halfway you can even smell it inside room. wifi signal not stable and weak, disconnected few times.

Perfect location with a subway station within few minutes walk. Friendly and helpful hotel staff. We had a blocked toilet and it was fixed within minutes after we reported the problems.

Good location, near the metro station and a lot of restaurants/shops. Room was nice, comfortable bed, very good breakfast although catered more to asian customer than europeans. Girls at the reception were very nice but no one spoke English so be prepared with a good translation app (select cantonese not chinese!) All in all a good stay
