Good to have Chinese food. there is gen room but the tools are not good, need to improve.

Excellent service and friendly staff. They even gave a cake when it's your birthday. The rooms are nice and clean. The location is excellent, there's a mall in front and lots of food shops.

Excellent service from all the hotel staff, especially Carmen, Stella and 小怡。 小怡called me after my check in to remind us of the afternoon tea which turned out to enjoyable and beautiful.  Carmen and Stella were very helpful with suggestions  for things that we can do to maximize our travel experience during our last day in Guangzhou and graciously extended our check out time. I am grateful for their hospitality.

The hotel location is very good near beach near Muslim food the staff very nice especially reception miss yan（小颜）very nice

The room is very big complete with all amenities. It location is also ideal right in the middle of Guangzhou. Staff are very tentative. Breakfast is superb..

I recently stayed at the Oriental Hotel, which is known for its grand size and prestigious five-star rating. However, my experience was far from what one would expect from such a highly rated establishment. Firstly, the hotel feels outdated. The furniture in the room was old and worn, which gave the space a tired and neglected atmosphere. Additionally, the cleanliness was not up to standard, which is a basic expectation for any hotel, especially a five-star one. Service was another significant letdown. On one occasion, I requested an iron to press my clothes. I called the front desk multiple times—more than four, to be exact—and even reached out to the duty manager. Despite my repeated requests, it took over an hour for the iron to arrive. When I finally encountered the staff member delivering it, she was smiling, seemingly oblivious to the inconvenience caused by the delay. Other aspects of the stay were equally disappointing. The mini bar in my room was empty, and the shower had issues, with water spraying from the handle, making it difficult to use properly. On the positive side, the breakfast was enjoyable, providing a nice start to the day amidst an otherwise frustrating experience. In conclusion, despite its impressive size and five-star rating, the Oriental Hotel fell short in many critical areas. The outdated furniture, cleanliness issues, poor service, and malfunctioning amenities all contributed to a very disappointing stay. I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience.

The hotel is located nearby Guangzhou station & city centre, which is quite convenient while the cleanliness is yet to improve along with the maintenance of in-room furniture.

Still a 5 star hotel however its getting a bit old and the older building rooms are probably due for renovations. Still would stay again for the location and value.

The Dong Fang Hotel is a large, high-end and long-established hotel in Guangzhou. There are some signs of wear in the room, but overall the accommodations were clean and well maintained. There is a lovely garden on the grounds and large, well-equipped gym. The Yuexiu Park subway station is a 5 minute walk away and there is a decent selection of restaurants, convenience stores/supermarket nearby. It is close to two parks and a few museums of interest, but otherwise the major shopping and entertainment areas are a couple subway stops away. Overall quite happy with our stay, though some staff might benefit from a bit more training (we got an unnecessarily hard no when asking for a late check out).

Thank you Becky Chen for upgrading us to the suite! 😍 DF Hotel's location in GZ is amazing, the richest place! 🤩 The lunch at the 8/F restaurant was delicious dim sum 😋 and the room service dinner was even better!

Hello, Really nice hotel, in the center ok’f the town. My room 8.. was perfect with the view if the beautiful garden. Delicious breakfast. I was there for 6 days. I’m so satisfied ☺️ In add, no need to pay for the reservation
