Poly Zhonghui Hotel Apartment (Guangzhou East Railway Station Sports Center) recensioner

Despite being large size the standard of the room is sub par. Issues include fridge had no power (see picture attached), shower cubicle had mouldy tiles (see picture attached), shower water handles had built up grime (see picture attached), existing scum on bathroom window, wooden floor had wet mop stains on arrival, bed is uneven and room had somewhat musty smell. This room is fine for a short stay but not for long stay. Only saving grace was being opposite Guangzhou Dong station which is handy for travels!

The apartment was super comfy, and staff friendly I came here to bring some stuff to deliver. The girl at the front desk was super helpful and didn't even hesitate to help me she sent my 19 deliveries without my help. I was so grateful because I was already so tired. The room has everything you need washing machine, and microwave it feels like home 🏠 Thank you again front desk young girl 🙆🏻♀️

It can be somewhat challenging to locate the hotel but it is nice enough. The room is spacious and well-equipped with key amenities. I enjoyed my stay overall.

Opposite to Guangzhou East Railway Station making this hotel a convenient location to high speed rail and the metro. Approximate 35mins drive from the airport by taxi/Didi (Chinese Uber). The room and bathroom looks clean. Quiet room despite being next to a busy road and railway station. Air con also works which was great during our stay in the October heat. Nice views over Guangzhou on the 7th and 15th floor where our rooms were located. Overall, we had a pleasant stay at the hotel and would highly recommend! Please note: The reception staff speaks mainly mandarin with one staff being able to speak some Cantonese. English is minimal so may need to have translation apps/a translator on hand! (Luckily we have our mum who can speak both mandarin and Cantonese)

Best for families stay and nearby the station 

Check-in staff was helpful. I utilised a cash deposit bond, no issues. Return of bond was pre-allocated into envelopes, whole process at check-out was seamless. Location was terrific to East station and many places to eat at door step. Taxi pick up and drop off was ideal, since there was a small side street to load and unload luggage. Will stay again

The hotel staff is very helpful and the stay was comfortable,I made a wrong booking and they gave me a free upgrade.

The hotel is not a hotel (is located in a residence flat). It is located infront of the train station which is very convinient if you have an early train in the morning or a late train at night. Receotionists are very rude and they don't speak English. We had an issue because we were leaving quite early and we needed to get the Key deposit back (25€) and nobody was in the reception. After 20 minutes the issue was solved The room was ok it was clean and the beds were confortable. There was no running hot water so we could not shower. I think that there are better option nerby rather than this hotel

Wonderful view and very spacious, room is clean and the location is very convenient next to the metro station.

The best place to stay in Guangzhou. It was really good and convienient location

The lady at the reception was very unfriendly and cold. She tried to make me pay a refundable deposit of $200, which I declined. She gave us an apartment that was unclean, had a non-working TV, and was very chilly at night. The next day we managed to transfer to a slightly better apartment. The lady, however, ruined the whole experience. It was as if she revelled in frustrating us -- quite sad. I won't speculate.
