Ascott IFC Guangzhou recensioner

We had a very pleasant 3 night stay at the 2 bedroom suite in Ascott. Suite has 2 toilets which was important for our group of 4. Kitchen was well stocked with glasses, utensils as well as laundry detergent for the washing machine cum dryer which was working well. We asked and hotel promptly sent up free bags of ice every night. We also ordered food and drinks delivery from ******* and each time items were delivered right to our door step by their robots. Special thanks to customer service Ivan who warmly welcomed and checked us in on the first night, answered all our queries and helped us book a car ride to the airport on the last day. He’s smile and helpful disposition really made our stay at Ascott very pleasant and memorable. Location: Metro and APM Line is about 5-10 mins walk and only less than 3 stops to central Tianhe shopping district. That being said we took Didi most of the time cos it was cheap. If you slowly venture and walk through the linked IFC Friendship mall all the way to the other malls you will discover plenty of food choices and decent shopping. Overall I would highly recommend staying at Ascott.

First, you should know that this is not really a hotel. It’s more like renting small apartments. They are definitely luxury and contain everything you will need while staying in this area of Guangzhou.  Self parking is a little inefficient as the nearest parking garage is next-door below the mall area, but that can be convenient as well. If you want to eat there or shop we rented a two room unit which was very nice. It had a full master bath with shower and bath tub and a second bathroom, which had a shower stall, and Toilets with bidets. The breakfast is a little expensive for what it is and the layout of the breakfast area is a little bit awkward - a little difficult to find your food at first, but once you do it, you can learn your way to get your eggs or toast, there are many foreigners that go visit this hotel. My kids enjoyed the pool which the temperature of the water was perfect. I think this would be an excellent place to conduct private business meetings because the living area is nice with a comfortable couch a few chairs and a table with four chairs. We had a corner room had plenty of sunlight coming in and really enjoyed this day. Hope you do too. 

Prime location. Very convenient since the area has everything. Not too far from the exhibition center we were here for, though traffic can be bad during peak hours. Attentive and helpful staff Spacious living room overlooking a city park was very nice. Bedrooms are on the smaller sizes but we’re happy as long as they’re clean and comfortable. Overall very good value for the price

The apartment is big and very well equipped. The only “complain” is mirror, there isn’t any mirror outside of the bathroom. Nonetheless, it’s still great. It’s in the CBD area of Guangzhou and very close to Canton tower park. We love the area as it’s not too crowded with many food selections and shopping malls. It’s near to the subway/MRT station. The cleaning ladies are super friendly, they cleaned our apartment everyday and top-up the amenities. The front desk staff are also very friendly and professional. I would stay again. Act like a 5star hotel but does not look and operate like one. Told them way before hand we are going to have a birthday party , they acknowledge my request but never did anything . Birthday greetings also don't have . As for cleanliness , the shower drain is dirty , and the furniture all looks damaged . Some pieces of the floor tiles is hollow and will move a little as u walk by. This hotel is far too expensive if the service they provide is juvenile.

The service apartment was great! We stayed at the 3 room apartment! It was cozy and clean! Love the location and cleanliness! Highly recommend!

The apartment is huge and clean. Service was good except for one counter staff who was not helpful in making restaurant reservations for us. Amenities are fantastic with a mini theatre, indoor swimming pool, daily buffet breakfast, gym etc. overall, it’s one apartment which I would go back to again

All in all is OK, location is perfect, and it is quite suitable for family with kids to stay. But the breakfast is the weakest serivce, it has limited choice and food is not attractive. I stay 5 days but only take 3 times, then I finally give up. The room is OK, everyday has enough water to fill up, but it is a pity that the furniture is a bit old and suggest it need to change in order to meet the Hotel quality standard. But most disappointed is the showroom, the bathroom drain is very slow, and have smell, .....this is not good at all....! This was my 2nd year stay with Ascott, is happy to come again...!

I wish I didn't have to use trip to book but it was most convenient and prices were comparable. The hotel itself was amazing! The location was perfect, near some great bars and food and close to a variety of transportation options. The staff were extremely friendly and the room itself was clean and breathtaking! I will definitely stay again 😊

The location is great, the hotel is supposed to be one of the best apartment hotels, however, recently it is not maintained, you can see this in the deficiencies in the facilities that part of them are not operating like the saunas, the walls in the lobby and so on..
