Guangzhou Yuanlai Collection Homestay (Yongqingfang Lizhiwan Branch) recensioner

Very good experience in this Xiguan style building hotel. The building itslef is an official Guangzhou Heritage Building. The location is adjacent to Guangzhou famous YongQingFang Lizhi Lake, and Shangxiajiu pedestrian walk. Next to the hotel also have a local authentic dimsum restaurant which serve from early morning til late night, a cafe is there downstair too. Very good neighborhood, many local food and resto nearby. We booked a 2-bed family room, everything is well provided including three unit of heaters that warm us in the middle of GZ's spring. Folding table and chair for us to have dinner are also provided. The front office are also very helpful in guiding us. Mr. Chen and Ms. Yaya even help us to book a car to take us to the airport on our last day here (the car is neat than average didis here). Just a suggestion if you are not local and tend to stay in this boutique hotel, make sure you have an active wechat therefore you can comunicate with the receptionist if any needed.

Gorgeous hotel room (the pictures don’t do it justice) in a rustic style, and even though our booking said “no window”, we had a huge window into an internal chamber with a skylight, just not to outside, which was a little grey anyway so no loss on our part! It’s a shame the room is small, so there isn’t much room for large luggage, but otherwise a good space for a weekend trip. The bed was also really comfy! The staff were friendly and had local English maps and food guides! P.s It was raining our trip but the rooftop terrace is a lovely place to chill in the sun.

Located in the heart of Li Wan area, there are many attractions nearby within walking distance. The nearest MRT station is about 500m away. Most importantly, it is #accepting foreign travellers. My friend and I had a hassle-free experience here as the host is being friendly and helpful. The room is also spacious and well-decorated with antique furnitures, which give an extra cultural experience. Had a good stay in overall.

Full of antique furniture which makes a good vibe and feel like you are all the way back in time! Yet I would say the host could do better in cleaning and I believe the experience would be nicer with an upgraded mattress and perhaps a foldable desk / wardrobe for placing / storing things. But for sure, with this room rate, it is a good deal and I probably should not ask for more😂

Check-in was hassle-free, ladyboss gave us number code to access the main gate as well as our room. A helpful & nice ladyboss. Room was quite small for 2 big luggages when opening them. Everything was good EXCEPT the mattress that was sunken in & the springs of the mattress can be felt which was uncomfortable for us to sleep actually & too soft =/ Romantic rooftop with fairy lights. Tastefully decorated place. There is a small fridge & useful maps at the lobby. Hair dryer , reusable rubber slippers, toothbrush set, shower cap provided with 2 bottles of water replenished daily. Cleanliness was ok. About 15min slow walk to YongQingFang 永庆坊 & 10min walk to ChangShouLu 长寿路 subway station. A beige tote bag with red handle ( with simple drawing of the homestay building ) was given by the ladyboss upon checkout as souvenir. Thank you =)

Very cozy and huge stay for 4 of us. Definitely will come back same place as the location is very convenient.

Fantastic place to stay in Liwan. So comfortable and a cool cafe downstairs. Liwan is the place to be for that slice of what Guangzhou used to be

Friendly and accommodating staff, rooms were very clean it was interesting to see some historic furniture on display. Was glad lift was available so we didn’t have to climb the stairs. Would like to stay here again if I’m in the area in the future. Highly recommended.

Quaint little homestay ideally located near lots of gorgeous cultural sites, helpful front desk staff, nice rooms. 

It is an antique hotel in an area with many buildings with a long history. In particular, the boss is very kind. Thanks to the special consideration of the boss, he upgraded it to a luxurious room on the last day and I had a great experience. And there was a good washing machine, so I made the laundry comfortable. I am deeply grateful to the boss.

When we arrived shortly after 2:30 pm, the room was not ready. We could leave our baggage, and when we came back later, it didn’t look like something significant had changed. The room was on the second floor near the reception. From the window, you could a humming noise. In the bathroom, there was a water leakage, and they had put a towel on it, for whatever reason.

We have truly enjoyed our stay here. It is a very nice place, lots of room in the 2 bedroom apartment, a friendly reception, great location, nice roof terrace, comfortable beds, and of course, a very nice interior design. I recommend this fully!

Location in old town in Guangzhou. But the room not very clean, and a lot of dusty on the room.

Strategic location. Nearby to Liwan lake. 1 train station away from Shamian Island and Chen Clan Ancestral Hall. Friendly staff.
