Vienna (Guangzhou South Railway Station Hotel) recensioner

Very good service at reception. Location of hotel is in a quiet area, convenient for being near the railway station. There is a small shopping mall, and few restaurants nearby.

We just stay one night cos it is near the High speed train station. It is very nice that hotel provide free bus to train station. The journey is about 8 min. If you walk there it is about 20 min.

Accommodation is good and clean. It’s very convenient who needs to commute through Guangzhou South railway station.

The location is within walking distance from the Guangzhou South Railway station. We like this very much. The surrounding of the hotel is quiet. Many of the eateries have not reopened after the pandemic. The hotel has no restaurant for breakfast, and this is inconvenient.

The reason most people want to stay here is to be close to Guangzhou South Train Station. But it’s Not within walking distance (with luggage) of Gz S train station because of all the construction blocking roads- you have to walk the long way 30-40 mins. Y17 Didi to hotel. Hotel does offer a free shuttle from hotel TO Gz S station. Basic overnight hotel. Expensive during high demand holidays. Nice receptionist speaks English.

A good place to stay if the principle requirement is proximity to Guangzhou South Railway Station. As my plan involved travel by train to nearby areas this seemed like a good place to stay. The hotel provides an hourly shuttle bus to the station but I have no idea where to find it if arriving at the station. The hotel is so close that walking might be practical but I could find no exit from the station so had to take a taxi. Some nice affordable places to eat downstairs but nowhere is there a laundry to be found. Helpful staff but no English spoken (and none expected as this is not a tourist hotel). Everything in the room was satisfactory and a window could be opened.

We had family room, which was very basic. Hotel itself is not accessible from Guangzhou South Station by walking, so you have to to take either taxi or bus. Also, our reservation was not found by reception, so we had to spend 40 minutes in hotel lobby and also chatting with trip.com support, who did a great jib and finally helped us

All factors are generally average, to be honest. For the price and location, there is really nothing to complain. Hotel offers shuttle pick up service from station which is shared with other hotels. Just head to 2nd floor of the east door exit. We called the hotel in advance to inform we are taking the shuttle but the driver did not seem to register us. That however did not stop us from getting on the shuttle van (a tight 17 seater) when it arrived. Just 4 other points stand out: The Good - The bed and pillow are really really comfortable. Travelled with 3 friends and all is us highly praised the comfortable beds. The Bad - There was a strong cigarette smell in toilet when the ventilator was on. - The was a couple of small cockroaches in our room. - There were loud rumbling motor sound coming from aircon when it is on that comes on intermediately that would definitely disturb light sleepers. One of my friend was seriously worried that it might explode.

Very near to train station and provide shuttle service. Fuss free. The porridge shop below is yummy!

We chose this hotel for its location near the Guangzhou West station, without knowing this station is huge and walking to the hotel wasn't as easy. After walking around for the right exit, we eventually took a taxi. Our non- smoking room, had remnants of smoke pollutants (there was an ashtray at the side table), which was an issue for me due to my allergies. The front desk team was helpful and responded quickly to adjusting air conditioning in the room. They don't have an air purifier to help with the pollutants issue.
