Highlands Resort - Adults Only

Great stay at the Highlands. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and the whole atmosphere was very calming, peaceful, and chill, from the pool area to the fire pit. We appreciated the light breakfast (hard-boiled eggs, yogurt and granola, quick breads, etc.) and it is a quick walk to the main street of Guerneville. We stayed in the Garden Suite, which is attached to the main building and has a deck with a view of the pool area. The only thing to know is the gate to the pool area is right next to the deck, so you may hear people coming and going through it. This didn't bother us (pool is only open 9am-8pm so it wouldn't be happening during sleeping hours), but something to be aware of when considering this cabin.  We will definitely be back!

The property was lovely as was the service. We were a little disappointed that we didn’t get the room with the big tub. I thought that is what I reserved but they told me the don’t reserve that room through 3rd party apps. Also, the rooms don’t have complimentary coffee and tea so make sure to bring your own. They have a kettle to heat warmer. With no hot tub by the pool there isn’t much to do on the property in the cooler months. Also, we were a little disappointed that the fire pit wasn’t on in the evening.

Cant say this enough, our group LOVED Highland Resorts in Guerneville and want to return. The cabins are beautiful and comfortable. The people friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a retreat type atmosphere this is a wonderful place to be.
