"Hotel is conviently located within walking distance to many eateries. There is no lift facilities in this place, as such will be difficult for travellers with large luggages to bring upstairs. Another setback for this hotel is there is no private parking facilities available. Only street parking and difficult to get one during office hours."

"Find a fantastic standalone vacation home; There is a small zoo· 🦌🦜🐒🐓； There is a small library and reception room 📖； There is purified water and a small kitchen； You can also ask the front desk Indonesian girl for feed to feed small animals. The standalone building we stayed in has two bedrooms and one living room. The family lives comfortably together. The boss can communicate fluently in both Chinese and English. Communicate via WhatsApp before check-in, fortunately send invitation letter. "Hotel is clean and the decoration is very pretty. Staffs are really friendly and helpful. Everything is perfect, overall we had a pleasant stay, would definitely stay again when we’re back to Ipoh."

"The look and feel of Sarang Paloh is lovely. It has an old world style which we loved. The location is also great, ten minutes from the station and close to lots of restaurants and spots in the old town. The room has a nice style to it as does the garden you walk through. The room facilities were lacking, with no fridge and no safe which we would expect at this price point. Hot water in the shower doesn’t last long and they provide a 3 in 1 body wash, shampoo and conditioner, again something we wouldn’t expect at this price point. The hotel also doesn’t offer room cleaning. This may have been because we stayed for two nights only but this is not communicated on the website or at check in. This meant used cups or water bottles aren’t cleared nor is the rubbish bin emptied. We were also not made aware of locally available discounts for staying at the hotel. All in all an ok stay but several small things made this not value for the money we paid."

"We’ve booked our 1 night stay here and it’s a well maintained guest house. One thing I’d comment will be the noise opposite the bars and it operated until 3am. Please prepare own amenities as the guest house doesn’t provide any and you can purchase from their mini shop."
