Disappointed. Not 4-stars. The resort itself is decent. It does have 4 pools, it does have a good kids play area, it does have a games room, it does have a bit of a spa, and it does look like the photos. But the photos don't tell you details. The photos of the apartments don't tell you how uncomfortable the sofa in the apartment is, so much so that you can barely sit on it - the metal of the sofa bed poke through the thin, flat sofa cushions. The photos don't show the stained kitchen floor where it has clearly flooded multiple times, just as it did when we went to run some water. They don't show you the sink in the kitchen and the shower crusted with limescale and hard water stains. They don't show you the plug sockets which are dodgy or the door handle to the apartment coming away from the door. The photos of the bathrooms don't show you the cracks and peeling lino on the shower wall or the fact that the bathroom floor floods when you shower, or that the main shower head only has about 5 nozzles working because it's crusted up. You are given glasses but they were not changed once by housekeeping in the week we were there. Although the apartment can be double-locked from the inside, that doesn't stop housekeeping walking in at 8:30am regardless of the 'Do not disturb' sign in use on the door handle. It doesn't tell you that the bedroom window opens onto the main walkway and the large, loud housekeeping trolley will be trundling past your head from 8am promptly every day. If you're not planning on being in the room much, this probably all won't matter. But for a 4-star resort, it was disappointing. One of the pools is very much a kids pool and another is the baby/toddler pool. Another one is identified as the activity pool and was busy with families and children. The other pool, designated as the relaxation pool, would have been lovely if it wasn't freezing. Apparently the pool heater was broken, for the entire week, and the pool was so cold we only saw it used once or twice by guests. The sunbeds are not comfy, but there are plenty of them and they're adequate. You have to get a token from Reception which you then trade in for a towel. We weren't actually told this by the hotel; we found it out by asking a member of staff for a towel who held their hand out for something - at first, I thought money was required, as the person didn't tell me what was expected. This was very much a theme of the staff in the resort - little communication and a sense that you the guest should have figured it out yourself already. We were given information when we checked in which we read cover to cover but even then there was little actual practical information! Simple things would make a difference, like a signpost out front to direct you to the ramp that isn't visible when you get dropped off at the hotel, so you're not carting your suitcases down a flight of stairs. The drinks menu that we found online didn't match what the offered in the bar, with a reall
