The hotel has a great location and has a very special design. It is a small, charming place with very nice and helpful, English speaking staff. You can book your tours to different scenic spots around Guilin with them. We booked a private tour to Yangshuo as well as Longshen to see the carst mountains and rice terraces, respectively. Our driver was nice and friendly and thanks to translation apps communication was not a problem. The hotel was calm and clean (we got new towels everyday, which for us is not necessary and they might want to consider reducing this. We personally do not need our room cleaned everyday. So, a Do Not Disturb sign would be nice to have.) The breakfast room is at the top floor (5th) and you have a nice view from here. The breakfast itself provides you with western (toast, cakes, waffles) and some Chinese options. It is ok, but nothing special. Overall, we highly recommend it and would stay here again.

Aroma Tea House is the hidden gem in Guilin. Located in a quiet spot in a city next to a scenic lake, the hotel is an artistic experience having been previously a museum. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They went the extra mile in providing us assistance with directions, our tours and special requests, even arranging an early breakfast so we could make it to the Li River Cruise on time. Highly recommended.

Everything was very nice! The people in the reception was very helpful and gave a lot of helpful tips on what to do and how to get around!

We booked 2 rooms here. It was a very nice place, with welcoming and helpful staff, who helped us organize all our transport needs and responded to our many questions. Great breakfast and breakfast room ( with a nice view). Very good location. The rooms were nice and big, and the bathrooms comfortable and well equipped. The location was also great, and we had wonderful walks next to the river and in the local parks, starting just opposite the hotel. We truly enjoyed our stay there.

Such a delightful hotel! Being right on the lake, my room had a view of one of Guilin's beautiful, lit bridges. The decor was masterful, and the staff's friendliness made the stay all the better. Already want to come back!

Enjoyable however areas cold and hot water only lukewarm warm- hence no showering. Coffee needed to be warmer and some vegetables not fresh - e.g corn. The service at breakfast fantastic

Unique hotel with excellent service. It's in a great location. We had a wonderful stay. The staffs are so friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back again.

Super friendly staff and big and comfortable rooms. Very clean. Small complaint is the noise outside given it's close to a busy area. But otherwise great place to stay - highly recommended

Our experience at this hotel was six star. We upgraded to a family suite so we could have separate rooms. The art in the hotel is lovely and the service we received was excellent. As was the individually cooked English breakfast. The location right on the lake makes it perfect for strolls in the evening and early morning

Room was very clean. We’ve had a Chinese breakfast which was delicious and a lot. Staff was very friendly and they speak English. Location of the hotel is great; you can reach the sun and moon pagodas/Elephant Trunk Hill/city centre in 15 minutes walk.

Nice hôtel with great service. Location is good as it's near to the lake. The design of the hotel is very unique and they gave the option of Western or Asian breakfast.
