It's an old hotel but was very very well maintained just like new. The room was bright, it even came with a bath tub. That's amazing 😍
It's located very near to the Elephant Hill which is the main tourist attractions area. Behind the hotel there were plenty of eateries shops.
This hotel is highly recommended.

A very well managed & maintained hotel, spotlessly clean from corridor carpet, elevator, bathroom faucets polish etc
Front desk staff are all service minded, polite & eager to help.
Bed is comfy provided with one soft & one harder pillow
Free self service laundry & dryer + detergent at multiple floors comes in handy
Long sighted spectacles (with various degree) even provided at Front desk for the convenient of guests use.
10 minutes walk to nearby Elephant Rock & Sun Moon lake
Breakfast spread is a notch above most local hotels (not international brands)
Definitely a high value for money hotel to stay.
Do not expect a good view from your room though due to hotel is at city center surrounded by similar height buildings

Old style hotel, refurbished and still looking new on the inside. Location is good... About 10 mins walk to most sights in town. Sad to say... Many of the shops nearby have closed down. A biggish supermarket in the basement of next building..... Very rare nowadays in China.Also has a luckin for the caffeine *******. The street behind has many small local stir-fry restaurants. The roast Goose restaurant chun ji is just around the corner.

Tailian hotel was an unexpected gem! The staff were kind and friendly, the breakfast was good Chinese fare. Rooms were pretty clean. Location was walking distance to many attractions. The beds were a bit hard but overall I would stay again.

Hotel is in great location. Rooms are decent, clean enough for what you are paying. We skipped breakfast after first day as we did not like it.
The receptionist (male) was not welcoming. After checking in we felt like we were unwelcomed. I called him to later to ask re: adapter. He hung up on me saying I don’t understand English. It was late night and we needed to charge our phone.
However, the next day met cleaning lady she was the sweetest. She helped up with adapter and we offered her tip but she refused to take it.
