Hotel Indigo Orange Beach - Gulf Shores

Great location, clean beautiful room, staff was amazing and very polite, they made us feel welcomed, the one thiny I didn’t like is, there was no microwave in the room, but there was one available to us outside the room, I will definitely go back and I would recommend it to family and friends

We were not happy at all with our stay. Upon entering to check in we were not greeted, store waiting after she finished, then started to check us in and outta nowhere took a call, then took care of another person that walked up to counter and during this never once apologized or acknowledged doing so. Carpet in halls was dirty and so were the walls. Black mold all along outside edge of shower and around in shower. Room was not very clean and noticed hair all over bed that was not mine. It’s upsetting that the contractors working there were more friendly and acknowledged us and spoke more than hotel employees. Front desk woman spent more time standing out front door smoking than at desk. Pictures and description was very deceiving! You have to ride a bus to and from the beach. There is not a beach you can safely walk to. There is nothing you can safely walk to. Will need to drive to anywhere you wish to go. Would not recommend . Cold and rude employees.

CHARGED my card 2 days before ARRIVAL and was told it was pay upon arrival!!No BREAKFAST INCLUDED AS WE WERE TOLD… NO MICROWAVE in room….ONLY A TINY FRIDGE can only fit 2 normal size water bottles….Only serve BREAKFAST AT A BAR ORDER ONLY!! ONLY PLAIN WATER in lobby but for PETS doggie treats and tennis balls!!NO COMPLIMENTARY coffee in lobby!! IS NOT KID FRIENDLY!! ABSOLUTELY NO HOSPITALITY AT ALL AND FRONT DESK NOT HELPFUL!! NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY!!

Booked a king suite with a balcony a month in advance from the time I stayed. Get there and get told there was "a glitch in the computer" so they didn't have any with a balcony and only give me a $25 discount for their mess up. The only reason I stayed was because I didn't have time to go searching for another hotel. Then upon arriving to the room, we find out there is no water or coffee even offered as a complimentary. Will NOT be staying here again as the ONLY reason I picked it was to have a balcony and they showed no care for it being an inconvenience to me.

We enjoyed this hotel overall! The vibe, decor and overall feeling was great. We checked in with Robert who couldn't have been nicer and was just so helpful as this was our first time to Orange Beach. He was great!! Most of the people at the hotel were very helpful and friendly. We loved our stay and will be back. But our negative was the 2 ladies working at the breakfast/coffee bar. They were curt, not friendly or helpful and we felt they didn't want to.be there. It was unpleasant and we wouldn't go to that restaurant/coffee/gift shop again. Would recommend going elsewhere for coffee & breakfast which is a shame because everything else was great.

The service is horrible, as a Diamond Elite my guaranteed room upgrade was denied, I was told I did not qualify for my free breakfast (managers rule), instead of my ocean view I was upgraded to a room with a balcony with the view of the back parking lot next to the restaurants ventilation system (very loud). The older front dest lady was crabby and rude as she ate kn the counter, very ghetto.

Beautifully decorated and landscaped; the clean, newly modern style hotel had super friendly and helpful front desk staff. The indoor/ outdoor pool was awesome, comfy cozy lobby and sitting areas inside and outdoors. Southern grinds coffee shop is connected to the building, offering delicious breakfast and lunch items as well as tasty coffees, teas, and scooped ice cream. The coffee shop has one of the best coastal gift shops I've ever seen in the area. We were offered 500 bonus IHG points if we spent $50 in food/drink in the bar, but the menu didn't look that great, and we had our heart set on Cobalts anyway. The room was very spacious with wood like floors and modern marine decor, a very comfy bed. The bathroom and shower were also modern, with glass doors and optional spray wand. It felt like coastal luxury. It's further down from the busier ***** area, but that's not a bad thing. The only inconvenience is that you can not walk or cross the busy road to access the beach because there are private rentals that don't allow pass through pedestrians. You will actually have to initial an agreement that you will not do so or be fined? If you are a smoker, they have orange Adirondack chairs in the back parking area where you can puff. Other than that, smoking is not allowed anywhere on the property, not even in front or at the coffee shop outdoor tables. They say there is a shuttle that takes you to the public beach entrance less than a mile down the road. It's a nice Pavillion and showers/bathrooms, BUT parking is $10 a day! We didn't see a shuttle but then we didn't ask. We drove there with our beach gear and paid the $10! I suppose you could walk a mile if you had a wagon to haul your stuff to avoid paying the $10 beach access lot parking fee, but who wants to do that on a hot summer day. If staying at Indigo, I would inquire exactly what does using the beach shuttle entail? Anyhow, we usually use IHG points to stay at HI on the beach but it's ridiculously expensive between Labor and Memorial day (the high season), but if your looking for a nice place to stay that's away from the hustle bustle traffic in orange beach, Indigo is great if you can make arrangements for a ride to the beach access at a time suitable for your party (or just cough up the $10 for parking at the beach)!

When you stay at a brand such as Indigo one would expect basic services. It's called housekeeping. We are paying for this service in our room rate. Let us be clear, our do not disturb door hanger was never on our door (2217) so let's get that excuse out of the way and in the open. Our room was never cleaned daily. Had to make calls all to be told housekeeping leaves at 2pm. Really? Traveling with kids we certainly just need the basic essentials, clean room, towels soap, trash pulled, sofa bed sheets etc. If we wanted to stay in something that didn't have housekeeping then clearly we could have chosen a condo but did not. We have asked for the GM to call us on the phone several times and even upon checkout. Not one follow up yet. Guess we need to send a letter to IHG Corporate office in Atlanta. Service resolution should had been handled promptly and with a sense of urgency. Instead it was ignored and just pass along to no one. Very disappointed. Would we come back? Too many other options to select and get better results and service that you pay for. However we will commend Justin. He seems to be the only hotel employee that cares.

We came for the beach and don't own pets, but this hotel was still perfect for us. We stayed on the 4th floor (Non-pet floor) with an ocean view that was gorgeous. The room is new and spacious and everything about the hotel felt high end. My only tip would have been for the builders, if you are going to have a suite with a large area by the fridge, you should have added a microwave and sink! The only thing that area was good for was prepping sandwiches! But the fridge was spacious and fit all our sodas and food. The Shuttle was large and could definitely fit a walker if needed. The beach parking for a car was $10 with in/out privileges each day. The Beach chairs (2) and umbrella is $45 for one day, but gets less if you book multiple days. Overall, the hotel and the getaway were perfect. We plan to stay again.
